Race 1 - MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres
At the start PADUWI jumped outwards bumping MIRON and turning that gelding sideways for several strides.
Rounding the first turn PADUWI raced greenly and got it's head up. P Crich rider of PADUWI was forced to steady his mount. MIRON which was racing behind PADUWI was forced to shift outwards to avoid the heels of PADUWI and in so doing bumped THIRD MILLENIUM on it's outside.

Race 3 – 0 - 63 HCP - 1600 metres:
Correct weight was delayed as the connection of second placed FLOPITIDOP requested to view the photo finish.
When the gates opened CAN'T AGREE was slow into stride.
During the event STIRRUP CUP suffered a bleeding attack. Mr B Richards trainer of STIRRUP CUP was advised of his requirements under AR 53A.

Race 4 – CLASS B HCP - 1000 metres:
When the gates opened HEATBLAST was slow into stride.
After travelling a short distance CRACKALACKIN came inwards onto BUCK N SPIN forcing it in onto REGIMENTAL LAD.
Shortly after the start CRACKALACKIN bucked for some distance and was eased out of the event.
Stewards advised Mr L Paech, authorised to be in care of M Hickmott horses, that a warning would be placed against the filly and if it was to perform in a similar manner in future some action may be taken.

Race 5 – 0 - 58 HCP - 1000 metres:
As Ms A Brown was booked for two rides on BLUE RAZOO and JERRYKOOLER, Stewards questioned S Clarke, C Pollard and Ms A Brown. It was established that Mr Clarke had first booked Ms A Brown through her master to ride JERRYKOOLER, she was then declared as the rider of BLUE RAZOO when JERRYKOOLER was an emergency. Stewards permitted C Haddon to replace Ms A Brown as the rider of BLUE RAZOO as there were no available apprentice riders.
Prior to the start being activated HYPHENATE and EXPLOSIVE KISS broke through the front gates and were passed fit to run.
When the gates opened HYPHENATE jumped outwards onto EXPLOSIVE KISS forcing that gelding out onto OTTENS.
On jumping away SERIOUS COIN jumped in onto GLORIA.
Between the 600m and 300m OTTENS raced greenly.
On return to scale Ms A Brown rider of JERRYKOOLER was dislodged.

Race 6 – 0 - 69 HCP - 1000 metres:
When the gates opened STAR OFTHE CENTURY was slow to begin.
On jumping away HIGHTOU came in onto FLYING FACE and GENERAL TYLDEN jumped out onto FLYING FACE.
Shortly after the start THUMB PRINTS shifted outwards.

Race 7 – ADELAIDE RIVER CUP - 1700 metres:
Mr B Huppatz rider of third placed THE SLEW lodged a protest against second placed RAFA alleging interference at approx the 700m. Stewards took evidence from all parties concerned and viewed the stewards patrol film. Having considered all the evidence stewards dismissed the protest and declared correct weight.
Stewards established that near the 700m RAFA ridden by P Crich rolled inwards onto THE SLEW forcing B Huppatz to take hold, however stewards were not satisfied that the placing's were affected by the interference.
When the gates opened SPAKATAK was slow away.
Mr S Brown trainer of ONLY FEATHERS and THE SLEW was fined $200 per runner for presenting those runners without stitching on the bandages.

Swab samples were taken from Belong To Loire, Gloria, Costlyev and Only Feathers.
Licensed Jockey Ms J Cameron was fined $100 for failing to wear appropriate footwear when handling horses (AR 87A).
Stewards will review the patrol films in relation to the use of the whip (AR 137A).
