Race 1 - SPECIAL CONDITIONS 2 HCP - 1000 metres

When the gates opened MR KNOCKABOUT jumped awkwardly and lost ground.

W White rider of OUR LAST RESORT was found guilty of a charge of careless riding (AR 137 (a)). The careless riding being that racing down the back straight and in particular near the 900 metres and rounding the first turn he raced to tight on the outside of LOVE YOU SOMETIME thereby tightening LOVE YOU SOMETIME in onto GOING DUTCH. As a result LOVE YOU SOMETIME was hampered in the instance and became unbalanced and had to be checked near the 650 metres.

W White was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire at midnight on Friday 9th October (1 meeting).

1st LOVE YOU SOMETIME, 2nd AUSTPAK, 3rd MR KNOCKABOUT

Race 2 - CLASS B HCP - 1300 metres

On jumping away DAISY GRACE shifted out taking GOLD LOTTO out onto MIGHTY MOOLAH which was tightened for room between that gelding and ZORRO'S SHIELD which shifted in.

PERUSHAY got its head up and raced ungenerously when restrained racing down the back straight.

At the commencement of the turn near the 650 metres SKYBENDER which was racing tight on the inside of SONO PICOLO had to be eased when it layed out slightly.

1st ZORRO'S SHIELD, 2nd SONO PICCOLO, 3rd FLOPITIDOP

Race 3 - 0-67 HCP - 1300 metres

Racing down the back straight LAST FRONTIER had a tendency to lay in away from other runners. Near the 1000 metres LAST FRONTIER was tightened for room and had to be restrained when YUKI had a tendency to shift in away from ROCKY BAY.

The Clubs Veterinary Surgeon reported BALLY TURF KING was galloped on from behind on both hind legs.

During the event RUDYARD lost its near hind plate.

1st WYREEMA, 2nd ROCKY BAY, 3rd CYAN

Race 4 - 0-62 HCP - 1000 metres

SPURNOVER was slow to begin when the gates opened and raced wide rounding the turn.

Shortly after the start RISHIKESH shifted out and tightened CULLENS SHADOW.

1st KOOLKANNA ROAD, 2nd HYPENATE, 3rd ALCARNTSPELL

Race 5 - 0-58 HCP - 1600 metres

Rounding the turn near the 500 metres CASH ON ARRIVAL was held up for some distance behind CHURCH HISTORY which was weakening.

Near the 400 metres CHURCH HISTORY had to be checked when tightened on the inside of CASH ON ARRIVAL.

Stewards believed that CHURCH HISTORY which was racing very tight on the inside of CASH ON ARRIVAL changed stride and shifted out slightly bumping CASH ON ARRIVAL on the hindquarters and thereby turning that gelding inwards resulting in CHURCH HISTORY having to be checked.

Stewards believed that whilst there may have been some tightening on the outside of CASH ON ARRIVAL it did not have a material effect on the interference.

As no one rider was responsible no action was taken.

1st OUR DARBY ROSE, 2nd JIMMY JAZZ, 3rd SEYMOUR SNAKE

Post race samples were taken from winners of race three, four and five.
