Race 1 - 3YO CLASS 4 HCP - 1300 metres
On jumping away TRES CHERE and FULL ON FILOU came together.
Near the 100 metres FULL ON FILOU had to be eased off the heels of MOSSGREEN (C Haddon) which rolled in. C Haddon stated that his mount shifted in quickly under the whip and that he stopped riding and straightened immediately he realised his mount was shifting in. Stewards reprimanded C Haddon for shifting in when not sufficiently clear and advised him that whilst they accept that he did stop riding that they believed he should have done so earlier and in future he must make a greater effort to protect his fellow rider.
During the event CLASSY BLEV suffered a bleeding attack.
1st MOSSGREEN, 2nd TRES CHERE, 3rd FULL ON FILOU
Race 2 - 0-73 HCP - 1300 metres
Approaching the 200 metres CARNEGGAN JESTER was held up for a clear run between TITAN RULER and LET'S TALK.
As they raced towards the 100 metres CARNEGGAN JESTER had to be eased when the weakening TITAN RULER rolled out slightly and LET'S TALK shifted in slightly.
The Club's Veterinary Surgeon inspected HANNESBURG which performed below expectations and reported that there were no apparent abnormalities.

Race 3 - SPECIAL CONDITIONS HCP - 1200 metres
Rounding the first turn LEICA CON raced very wide.
The Club's Veterinary Surgeon inspected LEICA CON which performed below expectations and reported that there were no apparent abnormalities.
1st OOMPA, 2nd PELICAN HEAD, 3rd HARGITAY
Race 4 - 0-58 HCP - 1200 metres
Near the 800 metres GENERAL CLAUDIA which was over racing got up onto the heels of MANNING and had to be eased. When eased GENERAL CLAUDIA shifted out and bumped SKIMMING ALL.
Near the 400 metres GENERAL CLAUDIA which was racing inside the heels of MANNING had to be eased when MANNING shifted ground slightly. When GENERAL CLAUDIA was tightened it shifted in onto JAFTICA and bumped that gelding. JAFTICA then rolled out which accentuated the interference to GENERAL CLAUDIA.
1st CYAN, 2nd MANNING, 3rd GENERAL CLAUDIA
Race 5 - 0-62 HCP - 1600 metres
As there were no other available riders stewards permitted C Dean to ride MUST MAKE MAGIC 1 1/2 kgs overweight.
Stewards fined C Dean $200 for accepting the ride on MUST MAKE MAGIC for which he was subsequently overweight. (AR120(b))
Through out the race MUST MAKE MAGIC hung out. C Dean rider of MUST MAKE MAGIC advised the stewards that the bit went through the geldings mouth which placed him at a disadvantage for the majority of the race.
During the event MY DOCTOR lost 3 race plates.
Mr S Brown trainer of ONLY FOR YOU was fined $50 for presenting that gelding with incorrect gear (AR140A).
1st ONLY FOR YOU, 2nd FRANCAGINO, 3rd SPURNOVER
Post race samples were taken from all winners.
Pre race samples were taken from Muggadi, and Must Make Magic.
