Race 1 - MAIDEN - 1200 metres:
Mr A Trengrove trainer of MAUZIE advised stewards that the filly had suffered a laceration on route to the course and requested the Club's Veterinary Surgeon inspect it.
Acting on Veterinary advise that MAUZIE was unfit to start stewards ordered its withdrawal at 3.07. As betting had not yet commenced no betting deductions were ordered.
On jumping away DOLLAR WISE shifted out and bumped DORIS.

Race 2 – OPEN HCP - 1000 metres:
On jumping away OOMPA and AUSTPAK came together.
Rounding the first turn GILBEAU got its head up changed stride and hung out.
1st WRENCHER 2nd OOMPA 3rd GILBEAU
Race 3 – 0 - 62 HCP - 1100 metres:
BESOFABULEAUX got its head up when the gates opened and lost ground.
Rounding the first turn JAFTICA had a tendency to lay out and as a result had to be eased.
Rounding the later part of the home turn MORETORQUE was held up for a run.
In the early part of the straight MORETORQUE was disappointed for a clear run between BESOFABULEAUX and AVIDSON and lost ground, INITIATIVE was badly hampered.
During the event AVIDSON suffered lacerations to its off side chest.
Subsequent to the event the Clubs Veterinary Surgeon reported HIGH PAPA was lame on the off fore. Mr J Manning trainer of HIGH PAPA was advise that a satisfactory veterinary certificate must be produced prior to that gelding racing again.

Race 4 – 0 - 67 HCP - 1300 metres:
On jumping away LIMESTONE COAST was tightened from both sides.
Near the 1100 metres INITITAVE and HEZA COMMANDS were tightened by CYAN (C Spry) which shifted in away from DEPINSKY which had shifted across at an acute angle.
When considering the interference Stewards considered that C Spry had made some effort to stay out and not tighten the runners on his inside. However Stewards reprimanded C Spry and advised him that in future he would be expected to make a greater effort to protect his fellow riders and to do so earlier than he did on this occasion.
As a result of the tightening HEZA COMMANDS had to be checked and lost ground and INITIATIVE was badly hampered.
Near the 400 meters INITIATIVE was tightened for room by CYAN which rolled in when being ridden along..
Mr R Richards trainer of WESTBRIDGE ROAD which was difficult to load in the barriers was advised that a warning would be issued against the gelding for its performance today.
Subsequent to the event the Clubs Veterinary Surgeon reported WESTBRIDGE ROAD was lame on the off fore. Mr R Richard trainer of WESTBRIDGE ROAD was advise that a satisfactory veterinary certificate must be produced prior to that gelding racing again.
1st PHANTOM VERDE 2nd DEPINSKY 3rd FLOPITIDOP
Subsequent to the event Mr M Hickmott trainer of BESOFABULEUX and CYAN advised the Stewards that both horses performed well below his expectations and as a result he would be taking blood tests next week to ascertain whether they may be suffering from a virus.
Stewards concluded an inquiry in S Hillebrand making a celebratory gesture prior to the winning post when he rode EQUITABLE in the Diggers of Gallipoli Handicap ran at Fannie Bay on Sunday 25th April 2010.
S Hillebrand was fined the sum of $100 under AR 137 (c) for making a celebratory gesture on the above gelding prior to the winning post.
Stewards today concluded and adjourned inquiry into the manner in which C Dean rider of FRANCAGINO used his whip on that gelding in the Diggers of Gallipoli Handicap run at Fannie Bay on Sunday 25th April 2010.
C Dean was reprimanded under AR 137A (3) with unnecessary use of the whip on that gelding over the concluding stages when out of contention and showing no response.
An inquiry was adjourned into the use of the whip by S Bailey (Gilbeau) in race 2
