As the gates opened MUGGADI was slow into stride.

Race 2 - SPECIAL CONDITIONS HCP - 1300 metres

Prior to this event Apprentice S.Hillebrand advised stewards that his instructions today was to ride his mount TESTAGOLD back in the field. Prior to this event OLD SOLDIER was inspected by the club veterinarian and was passed fit to startAs the gates opened PARTY CRASHER and CARAGA SUNSHINE bumped.PORT PEGASUS was inclined to over race in the early stages.

1st PORT PEGASUS, 2nd LET'S TALK, 3rd TESTAGOLD

Race 3 - 0-58 HCP - 1200 metres

As the gates opened CHIC OLIVIA bounded out and lost ground.

1st TENNESSEE CAT, 2nd BELONG TO LOIRE, 3rd GENERAL CLAUDIA

Race 4 - MAIDEN PLATE - 1100 metres

MASTER WHO was a late scratching from this event at 5.30pm on vets advice. As betting had not yet opened there were no betting deductions to be made.R Oakford was given permission to ride 1 1/2 kgs over on MUST MAKE MAGIC after no other riders were availableAs the gates opened MUST MAKE MAGIC and SMALLNOCH were a little slow into stride.SMALLNOCH was inclined to race ungenerously up until the 600 and then failed to run on.. Star's Son lost it's near fore plate during the event. Subsequent to this event stewards opened an inquiry into the late scratching off MASTER WHO. Evidence was taken from jockey B Huppatz and trainer C.Pollard. Stewards adjourned the inquiry to a date to be fixed.

1st STAR'S SON, 2nd AFFAIR CON, 3rd ELMEEBA

Race 5 - 0-73 HCP - 1000 metres

Prior to this event Apprentice S.Hillebrand advised stewards that his instructions today was to ride his mount SUPASON back in the field.

As the gates opened KOOLKANNA ROAD jumped inwards slightly causing SUPERMATOR on its inside to shift in tightening LITTLE RAPTOR onto NIGGLE which shifted out slightly.

BELLBOOKANDCANDLE was inclined to hang out rounding the home turn and failed to run on.

D.McIntosh rider of OUR LAST RESORT dropped his whip at the 200 meter mark.Correct weight was delayed after the rider of the second place getter requested to view the official photo finish.After viewing the photo correct weight was declared.Subsequent to this event D.McIntosh was reminded by stewards in regards to his conduct when in a public area.C.Pollard trainer of OUR LAST RESORT was fined $50 (AR140b) in that he presented his runner with the incorrect gear.
