Stewards today concluded the hearing into the charge issued to Licensed jockey Mr C Spry on 2 July 2010 following an inquiry into the running of Activation in the NT TAB ROANT Gold Cup (Div 1) run at Fannie Bay on Saturday 26th June 2010.

Mr Spry was charged under AR135A with failing to advise the stewards of riding instructions he issued to C Spry the rider of Activation. Those instruction resulted in C Spry riding Activation back in the field in the early stages of the above race which is different to the manner the horse had been ridden at its previous starts in Darwin.

Further evidence was today taken from Mr M Hickmott.

Mr Hickmott was found guilty of the charge and was fined the sum of $250.
