Stewards today concluded the inquiry into the running of LA DEL in the Wolf Blass 3 Year Old Class 2 Handicap run at Fannie Bay on 26th January 2010.

Evidence had previously been taken from Ms J Huish trainer of LA DEL and T Walsh rider of LA DEL.

T Walsh had been charged under AR 137(a) with incompetent riding. The Incompetent riding being that when he rode LA DEL in the above race that from shortly after the start until near the 650 metres he failed to show sufficient vigour and endeavour on LA DEL to encourage his mount to obtain a more forward position in the race.

Evidence was today taken from T Walsh.

Stewards found T Walsh guilty of the charge and suspended his permit to ride in races for a period of 1 month.
