Race 1 - 0 - 62 HCP - 1200 metres:

On jumping away JUST RORY shifted out and bumped SEYCHELLS.

The Club's Veterinary Surgeon inspected FULL ON FILOU which performed below expectations and reported that she could find no apparent abnormalities. 

C Dean rider of CHARLATAN PRINCE was reprimanded under AR 137 A(5)(a)(ii).  It had been established that C Dean had struck his mount 7 times in the forehand manner prior to the 100 metres.

An inquiry was adjourned to a date to be fixed into the use of the whip by T Walsh the rider of JUST RORY.

Race 2 – CLASS B HCP - 1000 metres:

INDIGO LAD which had struck the outside rail on route to the barriers was examined by the Clubs Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to run.

When the gates opened SMALLNOCH, INDIGO LAD and SING STAR were slow to begin. 

Ms S Montgomerie rider of MORTIFICATION was questioned regarding her use of the whip on that mare.  Ms Montgomerie was reprimanded under AR 137 A(4)(g) with unnecessary use of the whip when her mount was clearly winning.

Mr C Pollard trainer of SMALLNOCH was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare the correct nominators for that gelding on his stable return.  AR 53(c)(4).

Race 3 – 0 - 58 HCP - 1300 metres:

Stewards questioned Mr S Clarke trainer of GALLADY regarding the scratching of that mare.  Mr Clarke stated that GALLADY had injured its near fore hoof on Friday afternoon which required veterinary treatment.  Mr Clarke was reminded of his requirements under AR 126(2)(b) to report such injuries to the stewards as soon as practicable.

Shortly after the start THE EXCAVATOR was tightened for room by MONTE ROCKET which shifted out. 

Racing down the back straight THE EXCAVATOR which had attempted to take a tight run on the inside of MASTER WHO was disappointed for room and had to be eased.

Race 4 – 0 - 73 HCP - 1300 metres:

Prior to the start HEZA COMMANDS reared and dislodged its rider and galloped for some distance.  As the horse had galloped a considerable distance stewards ordered its withdrawal at 5.35pm stewards ordered all monies wagered on HEZA COMMANDS to be refunded and all monies wagered on the event prior to the withdrawal of HEZA COMMANDS to be paid as follows:- for the win, face value of the ticket less 25 cents in the dollar. For the place, face value of the ticket less 24 cents in the dollar.

Race 5 – 0 - 67 HCP - 1600 metres:

Approaching the winning post SONO PICCOLO was tightened for room by CHIC OLIVIA which shifted in away from GOLD LOTTO.
