Stewards concluded the inquiry into the running of COSTYEV in race 3 run on Saturday 8th October at Fannie Bay.

Stewards today took evidence from licensed jockeys B Davis (COSTYEV) and S Hillebrand(NIGGLE).

S Hillebrand expressed his concern that COSTYEV raced wide down the back straight and into the turn at the 600 metres which forced his mount to race wide on the track.

B Davis stated that he believed the track was softest from 2 off the fence to 4 off the fence and for this reason he elected not to shift in closer to the rail in an endeavour to give his mount full opportunity

Stewards noted the evidence of both riders.

Licensed stable employee J Spain was fined the sum of $100 for failing to wear a high visibility vest as required by the TRNT policy (18) on the morning of the 15th October at Fannie Bay Racecourse.

Licensed stable employee Ms F Bergstrand was fined the sum of $100 for failing to wear a high visibility vest whilst riding trackwork as required by the TRNT policy (18) on the morning of the 15th October at Fannie Bay Racecourse.
