Race 1 – CLASS B HCP - 1100 metres:

As S Hillebrand was indisposed the following rider charges were permitted.

Race 1 FRISKY ALBERT – B Davis

Race 2 FATHER’S FOOTSTEPS – M McDuff

Race 3 TENNYSON – B Huppatz

S Hillibrand was advised that prior to him riding in races again he must supply a satisfactory medical clearance from the Approved Medical Officer.

When the gates opened THE SAILOR jumped awkwardly, shifted out and bumped MEET BARNEY turning that gelding inwards slightly.

SERIOUS COIN shifted out on jumping away and as a result THE SAILOR was tightened for room between that gelding and MEET BARNEY.

NERO MACCHINA bounded as the gates opened and lost some ground.

Subsequent to the event theClubs Veterinary Surgeon inspected THE SAILOR which performed poorly and reported that she could find no apparent abnormalities.

During the event ALBERT PARK LAKE suffered a bleed attack.  Mr S Brown trainer of ALBERT PARK LAKE was reminded of the requirements of AR53A.

Race 2 – BENCHMARK 72 HCP- 1600 metres:

TheClubs Veterinary Surgeon reported that TEQUILA MIDNIGHT had suffered a minor injury to its eye during the event.

1st LET GO JOHNNY 2nd WYREEMA 3rd TEQUILA MIDNIGHT

Race 3 – 0 – 58 HCP - 1300 metres

On jumping away NOT FOR PROFIT shifted out abruptly and bumped CELESTIAL KINGDOM.

In the early stages of the race NOT FOR PROFIT raced ungenerously.

After passing the 500 metres LADY JINX which was laying out slightly had to be eased when disappointed for a run on the inside of CELESTIAL KINGDOM which was shifting ground slightly.

FREGOSI had a tendency to lay in running down the straight.

Race 4 – 0 – 64 HCP – 1200 metres

As S Hillebrand was indisposed and as there were no suitable replacement riders available stewards withdrew BELVIDERE BABE at 2:50pm.

FLYING FACE which got its head up and was slow into stride when the gates opened was then tightened for room between NABALI and HE’S REELING both of which shifted ground. As a result FLYING FACE had to be eased and lost ground.

Race 5 – 0 – 70 HCP - 1000 metres:

HURRICANEPRINCE got its head up on jumping away.

Near the 200 metres ALCARNTSPELL was disappointed for a run on the inside of BRINKLEY BOY which rolled in taking ALCARNTSPELL in onto the hindquarters of TENNYSON.  ALCARNTSPELL then had to shift out to obtain a run on the outside of BRINKLEY BOY.
