Race 1 - TROBIS MAIDEN PLTE - 1200 metres:
SUBO which dwelt when the gates opened was tightened for room shortly after the start by MAN OF THE CROWD which rolled out. SUBO lost some ground as a consequence.
Near 100 metres FREGOSI rolled in and brushed NOT FOR PROFIT.
Ms J Hush trainer of IGGI DARLING was fined $20 for use of the club colours on that gelding.
Mr R Richard trainer of SUBO was fined $100 for presenting that mare with incorrect gear (AR140A).

Race 2 – 0- 64 HCP- 1600 metres:
AGAINST THE DAY was slow into stride when the gates opened.
When the gates opened CELESTIAL KINGDOM reared and lost some ground.
Near the 100 metres Ms S Montgomerie rider of SEVEN BRIDGES had to stop riding and straighten her mount which began to lay in behind IT'S HOME.
Stewards reprimanded Ms S Montgomerie rider of SEVEN BRIDGES for excessive use of the whip AR137A(3). Stewards advised Ms S Montgomerie that her use of the whip on at least 25 occasions in the straight was excessive in the circumstances and that in future she should consider using the whip more sparingly in the early part of the straight.

Race 3 – 0 – 58 HCP - 1100 metres:
MESSI MAGIC bounded when the gates opened and lost some ground.
Shortly after the start HAPPY MAN rolled out and LADY JINX which was racing on its hindquarters had to be eased.
During the event ZIPIT suffered a bleeding attack, Mr G Clarke trainer of ZIPIT was advised of his requirements under AR53A.

Race 4 – BENCHMARK 75 HCP – 1100 metres:
BARSTOOL which had injured itself this morning after scratchings had closed was examined by the stewards who deemed the gelding unfit to start.
Stewards withdrew BARSTOOL at 1:40pm. As betting had not yet commenced no deductions were ordered.

Race 5 – 0 – 70 - 1200 metres:
On jumping OIGLES shifted out abruptly and bumped QUE and hampered that gelding.
RED PANTHER shifted out on jumping away and bumped LADUNI shortly after the start.
Near the 200 metres KINGSFORD was tightened for room and bumped by OIGLES which rolled in slightly.
Just prior to the winning post KINGSFORD and REFLEX came together and became unbalanced due to both horses shifting ground slightly.
As the Clubs Veterinary Surgeon was called away immediately after the running of the race and as a urine sample could not be collected in a timely fashion, no swab sample was taken from the winner, KINGSFORD.
