Race 1 - 3 YO CLASS 4 HCP - 1200 metres:
Steward's allowed Ms S Montgomerie to ride 1/2 kg over her MRW today. Stewards expressed their concern that S Montgomerie was 1/2 kg over her MRW and warned her that stronger action may be taken in future.
When the gates opened BLUE RAZOO jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride.
Rounding the 650 metre turn HARGINGERS raced up onto the heels of LADY JINX and lost some ground.
LADY JINX began to hang out coming into the straight and continued to do so in the early part of the straight.

Race 2 – CLASS B HCP - 1000 metres:
As C Spry was to be overweight to fulfil his riding engagement, he was replaced as the rider of GASTRONOMY by D Robinson. Steward's advised C Spry that in the future, he should only accept rides which he could fulfil at the correct weight.
Steward's questioned Mr K Lamprecht trainer of GASTRONOMY which was uncompetitive through out the event. Mr Lamprecht stated that the gelding would now be retired, however Stewards advised Mr Lamprecht that prior to the horse racing again it must trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards.
1st COLONEL JACK 2nd SINGING SIREN 3rd CELESTIAL KINGDOM
Race 3 – 0 - 76 HCP - 1100 metres:
When the gates opened FIREDRAKE jumped in onto MAJESTIC LION which lost some ground.
At the 650 metres FIREDRAKE galloped onto the heels of LAST FRONTIER which lost it's near hind plate.
PICK OF THE LOT tended to hang out coming around the home turn and into the straight.

Race 4 – BENCHMARK 70 HCP - 1600 metres:
CARNEGGAN JESTER hung out throughout the race.

Race 5 – 0 - 58 HCP - 1300 metres:
Stewards allowed R Oakford rider of PRETTY BEACH to ride 1 kg overweight as there were no other available riders. R Oakford stated that he does have some difficulties with his weight at this time of the year, however the gear being used on the horse included a heavy non-slip pad which required an extra towel. Steward's accepted R Oakford's explanation, however R Oakford was reminded of his responsibility to fulfil his engagements at the required weight.
On jumping away RED PANTHER jumped in causing some interference to JESTACONI which was then slow into stride. At about the 1200 metres SHECKY EVIL rolled in taking PRINCESS ELLIE in onto NORTH VEGAS which lost some ground.

Race 6 – 0 - 69 HCP - 1200 metres:
Rounding the turn at the 400 metres FASLINATION bumped into MADURO.
At the 150 metres M Evans rider of MADURO dropped his whip
1st HIDDEN SURPRISE 2nd CARDINAL ANGEL 3rd BESOFABULEUX
Post race swab samples were taken from all winners.
