Race 1 - 2 YO PLATE - 1000 metres

Mr S Brown trainer of SINGING SIREN was fined $20 for using the club colours on that filly.

On jumping away PRINCESS ELLIE and JUSTNOTHIN LEICA which jumped awkwardly came together due to JUSTNOTHIN LEICA shifting out.

For the majority of the race MAUZIE raced greenly.

The Clubs Veterinary Surgeon inspected PRINCESS ELLIE and reported that the filly was shin sore. Mr D Leech trainer of PRINCESS ELLIE was notified that prior to the filly racing again it must trial to the satisfaction of the stewards and a satisfactory veterinary certificate must be produced.

1st SEYCHELLES, 2nd BELLA ROSSANA, 3rd MAUZIE

Race 2 - 0-58 HCP - 1200 metres

Shortly after the race REQUEST THAT SONG was bumped by CASH ON ARRIVAL which shifted out.

Stewards questioned M McDuff rider of REQUEST THAT SONG which raced very wide rounding the turn. M McDuff stated that the horse had a tendency to lay out and did not appreciate the sand coming back and for this reason he stayed wide on the track. Stewards advised M McDuff that in future he would be expected to make a effort to save ground on his mounts as in their view racing so wide was detrimental to the horses chances of obtaining the best possible place in the field.

Stewards questioned Mr C Pollard trainer of REQUEST THAT SONG regarding the riding of M McDuff.

Mr C Pollard was advised by the stewards that the riding of M McDuff rounding the turn gave them some concern as in their view racing that wide rounding the turn was detrimental to the horses chance of obtaining the best possible place in the field.

Stewards questioned J Cameron rider of MISHYFIT who raced very wide rounding the turn. J Cameron stated that the filly did not appreciate the sand coming back and for this reason she stayed wide on the track, further that she had been advised by the connections to come around the field rather than attempt to race amongst the horses as MISHYFIT raced better that way. Stewards notified J Cameron she would be expected to make an effort to save ground on her mounts as in their view racing so wide was detrimental to the horses chances of obtaining the best possible place in the field.

Mr A Trengrove was advised by the stewards that the riding of J Cameron rounding the turn gave them some concern as in their view racing that wide rounding the turn was detrimental to the horses chance of obtaining the best possible place in the field.

1st GO TALLY, 2nd BALLY TURF KING, 3rd CEE JAYS SUN

Race 3 - 0-70 HCP - 1300 metres

On jumping away IWANTTOBREAKFREE and CENTURY DANE came together.

D Bates rider of CENTURY DANE which performed below expectations stated that he was unable to offer any explanations other than the gelding mixes its form and is difficult to predict. Further that the gelding pulled up with no apparent abnormality today and there appeared nothing amiss with the gelding which could explain its performance.

Race 4 - 3 YO CLASS 4 - 1300 metres

When the gates opened MANNING was slow to begin.

Stewards questioned D Robinson rider of FRANCAGINO which raced very wide rounding the turn. D Robinson stated the gelding did not appreciate the sand coming back and for this reason he stayed wide on the track. Stewards notified D Robinson he would be expected to make an effort to save ground on his mounts as in their view racing so wide was detrimental to the horses chances of obtaining the best possible place in the field.

Stewards questioned Mr A Trengrove trainer of FRANCAGINO regarding the riding D Robinson.

Mr A Trengrove was advised by the stewards that the riding of D Robinson rounding the turn gave them some concern as in their view racing that wide rounding the turn was detrimental to the horses chance of obtaining the best possible place in the field.

The trainer of TUIVERRE Mr J Peacock reported that the gelding had pulled up shin sore. Mr Peacock was notified that a satisfactory veterinary certificate must be presented prior to the gelding's next start.

1st ARAPAHO HEIGHTS, 2nd QUE, 3rd SHOUT OUT LOUD

Race 5 - OPEN HCP - 1200 metres

When the gates opened TWO SONS bounded and lost some ground.

Rounding the later part of the home turn PALACE GENERAL was held up behind the weakening HIDDEN ASSESTS and was then bumped by TWO SONS and became unbalanced.

1st GALLIUM, 2nd KIRKIRISH, 3rd TWO SONS

Race 6 - 0-62 HCP - 1100 metres

KOOLKANNA ROAD was slow away when the gates opened.

On jumping away MR KNOCKABOUT shifted out hampering BASK.

Near the 1000 metres BOHEMIAN DREAMS was tightened slightly by DANGEROUS DESIGN which shifted in.

Mr C Pollard trainer of KOOLKANNA ROAD notified the stewards that the gelding's work had been slightly interrupted during the week due to a minor lameness on Wednesday, despite this he was confident that the gelding would perform at its best.

1st JAFTICA, 2nd DANGEROUS DESIGN, 3rd GENERAL CLUDIA

Post race samples were taken from all winners.

Licensed trainer M Rattley who was riding trackwork at Fannie Bay racecourse on the morning of Wednesday 17th June failed to attended a stewards inquiry into the reason for him riding trackwork without a light as prescribed in AR 87AAA. Mr Rattley had been requested on Wednesday morning to attend the inquiry at the racemeeting.

A report was tabled by Chairman of Stewards Mr L Lane.

In his absence, Mr Rattley was fined the sum of $100 for riding trackwork on the above date without a safety light in accordance with AR 87AAA.

An inquiry was adjourned until Saturday 27th June into the reason for Mr M Rattley failing to attended an inquiry when requested to do so by the stewards.

Mr R Severino was fined $200 under NT 104(a) for failing to register Ms R Irwin as a stablehand. Ms Irwin was found to be assisting Mr Severino with the training of his horses on Monday 15th June.
