BAD BOYS was slow into stride when the gates opened.
The Club's Veterinary Surgeon inspected BARTER ME which weakened badly and reported that the gelding was lame in both forelegs.
Stewards advised Ms J Huish trainer of BARTER ME that prior to the gelding again racing she must produce a satisfactory veterinary certificate in respect of the gelding.

Race 2 – CLASS B HCP - 1300 metres:
Shortly after the start PIGGOTT bucked for some distance and was eased down by the rider.
Mr M Rattley trainer of PIGGOTT which had been warned on two previous occasions for similar behaviour was advised that the gelding would be suspended from racing for a period of one month and then must perform to the satisfaction of the stewards in a barrier trial prior to racing again.
On jumping away HARKTHEHERALDANGEL and CHRONOGRAPH were tightened for room between SISTER ROSETTA and STOPSTART which shifted out.
Stewards questioned Mr M Rattley trainer of PIGGOTT regarding that gelding being removed from the course less then 30 minutes after the race in contravention of AR 117(3). Stewards reprimanded Mr Rattley and advised him that in future he must seek permission if he wishes to take his horses from the course early.
1st NORTH VEGAS 2nd PAPANDREOU 3rd STOPSTART
Race 3 – 0 - 69 HCP - 1300 metres:
On jumping away ANGRY CAT and MONTE ROCKET came together due to ANGRY CAT shifting in.
1st PILOS 2nd FLOPITIDOP 3rd INVISIBLE CITY
Race 4 – 0 - 63 HCP - 1100 metres:
Acting on advice from Mr M Hickmott trainer of GRANDPRIX KOTENCO that the gelding had injured itself in the truck prior to coming to the course and was unfit to start. Stewards ordered the withdrawal of GRANDRIX KOTENCO at 2.13pm.
Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by Mr G Clarke for the late notification of B Davis as the rider of HEZA COMMANDS.
SIGNED AND SEALED jumped away awkwardly when the gates opened.
Shortly after this SIGNED AND SEALED was taken in by HYPHENATE. Also CHARGE UP was taken out by SHECKY EVIL onto OLSENS. As a result SIGNED AND SEALED had to be eased when tightened onto OLSENS and CHARGE UP was taken in by OLSENS.
Stewards questioned M Hart rider of CHARGE UP which performed below expectations. M Hart stated that the gelding played up badly prior to the race and then during the race was disinterested in racing and did not appear to want to race at any stage. M Hart stated that the gelding appeared to pull up with no apparent abnormalities and that he could offer no explanation for it's performance today.
The Club's Veterinary Surgeon inspected CHARGE UP and reported no apparent abnormalities. A Swab sample was taken from CHARGE UP.
1st HEZA COMMANDS 2nd SIGNED AND SEALED 3rd TENNYSON
Race 5 – 0 - 58 HCP - 1200 metres:
On jumping away RISHIKESH and THE PINK PANZER came together. Also MAJOR NELSON shifted in onto ROSE MARIE.
In the straight MAJOR NELSON had a tendency to lay in.
In the straight ARAPAHO HEIGHTS rolled in on 2 occasions and bumped BESOFABULEUX.

Post race swab samples were taken from all winners and Charge Up.
