Race 1 - MAIDEN PLATE - 1300 metres

When the gates opened MUST MAKE MAGIC was slow to begin.

Stewards questioned Mr M Rattley trainer of MUST MAKE MAGIC which hung out severely. Mr Rattley was notified that a warning would be issued against the mare and if it was to perform in a similar manner in future some action may be taken.

1st PENTOOPAPER, 2nd TAKALUA, 3rd ANY LUCK IN RUNNIN

Race 2 - 0-66 HCP - 1600 metres

Mr R Severino trainer of CHRONOGRAPH notified the stewards that he had instructed the gelding’s rider to try and ride the gelding off the pace but no more than 6 lengths from the leaders.

Mr M Hickmott trainer of DALS ROAD notified the stewards that he instructed his rider to ride the gelding in the lead as he believed racing behind runners was the reason for its poor performance last start.

Prior to correct weight S Hillebrand rider of MUGGADI requested to see the home turn camera vision.

Race 3 - CLASS 1 HCP - 1200 metres

When the gates opened ZAZZLE was slow to begin.

Shortly after jumping away WHATYOUWAITINGFOR was tightened for room between RISHIKESH and SOVIET MISSILE which shifted out.

1st WHATYOUWAITINGFOR, 2nd RISSIK, 3rd SOVIET MISSILE

Race 4 - 0-76 HCP - 1000 metres

When the gates opened FILAGREE reared and jumped awkwardly resulting in its riders D Bates becoming unbalanced as a consequence FILAGREE lost considerable ground.

When the gates opened IWANTTOBREAKFREE jumped awkwardly and lost ground.

Rounding the turn and in the early part of the straight OUR LAST RESORT which had a tendency to lay out bumped HIGH PAPA on several occasions unbalancing that gelding.

1st TOP LEVEL, 2nd MR MECURIAL, 3rd HIGH PAPA

Race 5 - 0-58 HCP - 1100 metres

The Clubs Veterinary Surgeon inspected BLUGRASS which performed below expectations and reported that the mare was lame on the near fore. Mr R Severino trainer of BLUEGRASS was notified that a satisfactory veterinary certificate must be produced prior to the horse starting again.

1st SPURNOVER, 2nd GO TALLY, 3rd JAFTICA

Post race samples were taken from all winners.
