Race 1 - MAIDEN PLATE - 1300 metres:

Mr M Hickmott trainer of NORTH VEGAS requested permission to race that gelding in a noseroll and tongue tie for the first time today.  Mr Hickmott stated that he had requested the gear changes with RISA on Thursday prior to acceptances.  Stewards advised Mr Hickmott that as the gear had not been approved and declared to the public this request was denied. 

Mr C Pollard trainer of BLUE RAZOO was fined $50 under AR 56 for failing to lodge a stable return to show the correct ownership of that horse.

Race 2 – BENCHMARK 73 HCP - 1100 metres:

The Club's Veterinary surgeon inspected PATERNITY subsequent to the event and reported that she could find no apparent abnormalities.

1st TESTAGOLD 2nd HIGHTOU 3rd KINGSFORD

Race 3 – 0 - 58 HCP - 1600 metres:

The Club's Veterinary Surgeon inspected ROYAL STEAL and reported she could find no apparent abnormalities. 

During the event STOPSTART hung out and as a result the saddle slipped which placed it's rider B Davis at a disadvantage.

Race 4 – 0 - 63 HCP - 1100 metres:

On jumping away HOSTILE ELEMENT shifted out and bumped OLSENS.  Shortly after this MONARCH'S RULE shifted out and tightened HOSTILE ELEMENT out onto OLSENS.  HOSTILE ELEMENT raced tight between those two horses and was buffeted for some distance prior to having to be eased.

Near the 800 metres OLSENS had to be eased when tightened for room by MONARCH'S RULE which shifted out.

Race 5 – 0 - 69 HCP - 1300 metres:

When the gates opened YUKI bounded and lost ground.

Post race swab samples were taken from all winners.

 Pre race swab samples were taken from  PANIS ANGELICUS, CHIC OLIVIA and DEPUTY MOON.

The following jockeys were drug and alcohol tested C Dean, C Spry, B Davis and S Hillebrand.
