SISTER ROSETTA jumped inwards at the start and bumped CITY OF BRIGHNESS. 

PADUWI lost it's off hind plate during the event.

Race 2 – 3YO CLASS 4 HCP - 1300 metres:

BLUE RAZOO shifted out at the start taking JAY KAY TEE outwards.

Race 3 – 0 - 76 HCP - 1300 metres:

Race 4 – 0 - 69 HCP - 1600 metres:

Approaching the 1400 metres FLOPITDOP was tightened for some distance by CHEVROLET LAD.

Rounding the first turn COLONEL JACK had a tendancy to lay out.

Ms T Halter trainer of EREMBOURG was fined $50 for the late notification of a rider for that gelding (NT 129).

Race 5 – 0 - 63 HCP - 1200 metres:

After being placed in the barriers THE BEAN COUNTER reared up.  The bridle on THE BEAN COUNTER was damaged in the incident.  THE BEAN COUNTER was taken out of the gates whilst it's bridle was repaired and  was examined by the Club's Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to run. 

The Club's Veterinary Surgeon inspected DEPINSKY subsequence to the event and reported that the gelding had lost it's near hind and off fore plates and was lame in the off foreleg.

1st FORETHOUGHT 2nd THE BEAN COUNTER 3rd ALCARNTSPELL

Race 6 – BENCHMARK 71 HCP - 1100 metres:

Prior to correct weight being declared S Hillebrand rider of second placed horse WRENCHER requested to view the head on film. 

Shortly after the start LITTLE RAPTOR got it's head up and bounded for a number of strides. 

GILBEAU raced ungenerously in the middle stages and he had a tenancy to hang out. 

The Club's Veterinary Surgeon inspected LITTLE RAPTOR and GILBEAU and reported he could find no apparent abnormality with either horse.

Post race swab samples were taken from all winners.

Pre race samples were taken from Marco Largo, Stature, Glasgow Jim, Fingal Bay, Cardinal Angel and Rapid Russian.

Having reviewed the stewards patrol films re the use of the whip (AR137A) stewards adjourned an inquiry into the use of the whip on Forethought by its rider S Hillebrand, (Race 5).
