Race 1 - 3 YO CLASS 2 HCP - 1000 metres

On route to the barriers K Gladwin rider of AFFAIR CON was dislodged.

Approaching the 650 metres MOSSGREEN was eased as the filly was not appreciating the dirt and was racing greenly.

S Brown trainer of AFFAIR CON was fined $20 under NT 121 for use of the club colours.

1st PADDY ME LAD, 2nd MACCAS DREAM, 3rd NOTIPTHIS

Race 2 - MAIDEN PLATE - 1300 metres

At the start RATATOUILLE was slow away.

Stewards questioned J Cameron rider of RATATOUILLE which raced wide around the turn. J Cameron stated that when RATATOUILLE got in behind other runners down the back straight the gelding did not appreciate the sand coming back and hung out for the remainder of the turn.

Stewards notified Mr K Lamprecht trainer of RATATOUILLE that they believed that J Cameron's riding of the gelding rounding the turn was detrimental to its chances and that in future he should endeavour to instruct his riders to ensure his horses are not ridden in a similar manner in the future.

LADY GRYPHONS raced greenly down the back straight.

Stewards questioned J Huish trainer of TUSCAN RUBY regarding its improved performance. J Huish stated that the mare had been unlucky and not been able to get to the front in its previous races.

S Sheargold rider of TUSCAN RUBY stated that from barrier ten he had a clear run to the front and took advantage of that.

1st TUSCAN RUBY, 2nd FLOPITIDOP, 3rd DAISY GRACE

Race 3 - 0-73 HCP - 1100 metres

Correct weight was delayed as R Oakford rider of GRANDPRIX KOTENCO wished to view the film of the race.

DEPINSKY bounded at the start.

ZABULLION hung out down the back straight causing difficulties negotiating the turn and lost considerable ground.

At around the 500 metres GRANDPRIX KOTENCO balked at HIGH PAPA which rolled in momentarily.

Race 4 - 0-62 HCP - 1200 metres

DESERT SAINT was slow away.

In the straight DESERT SAINT was held up behind other runners and was unable to gain a clear run. Near the 100 metres DESERT SAINT shifted to the outside of VEREKER STREET to gain a clear run.

Mr C Pollard trainer of KELVINSIDE LAD was fined $50 under AR 140A for presenting that gelding with incorrect gear.

Post race samples were taken from all winners.

Stewards today concluded an inquiry into a report that licensed trainer Mr M Hickmott had on the morning of 15th October been leading a horse at the Fannie Bay track and was not wearing a high visibility vest in accordance with the DTC policy.

Mr Hickmott was requested to attend the inquiry however failed to do so.

In his absence Mr Hickmott was fined $200 for failing to comply with the Club policy re the wearing of high visibility vests.

Mr Hickmott had been penalised on two previous occasions for failing to comply with this policy.

Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the failure of Mr Hickmott to attend the stewards inquiry when requested to do so.
