Race 1 - 2 YO PLATE - 1000 metres
The public was notified that although GILLA GILLA did not appear in the race book as TROBIS qualified it had been sold via the ASTC yearling sale and was TROBIS qualified.
Near the 700 metres PADUWI eased off the heels of MAUZIE which was racing greenly.
Throughout the race MAUZIE raced greenly.
Rounding the turn PADUWI had a tendency to lay out.

Race 2 - CLASS 1 HCP - 1300 metres
When the gates opened THESANDMANCAN and BUSTLING COWBOY were slow to begin.
1st MYSTICAL WOOD, 2nd THESANDMANCAN, 3rd BUSTLING COWBOY
Race 3 - CLASS B HCP - 1600 metres
When the gates opened IRIS JEAN was slow to begin.
Near the 100 metres BEAUTIFUL HANDOUT (S Sheargold) which had a tendency to lay in tightened FLYWHEEL which was weakening slightly.
S Sheargold was reminded that he must ensure he makes a greater effort to keep his mounts straight in future.

Race 4 - 0-62 HCP - 1000 metres
When the gates opened GOLD PALM got its head up and missed the start.
On return to scale B Davis rider of second placed KOOLKANNA ROAD weighed in below his declared weight of 57kg's. Stewards re weighed B Davis on the main scales in the jockeys room which indicated B Davis weighed 56.5 kg. Acting under AR143 (a) stewards allowed B Davis 1/2 kilogram and declared correct weight.
It was established that the trainer of KOOLKANNA ROAD, Mr C Pollard had left a towel off the horse which B Davis had weighed out with. Mr Pollard explained that when he saddled KOOLKANNA ROAD he forgot to place B Davis's towel on the horse despite being aware that the towel was to be included.
M R Pollard was fined $200 under AR143 (b) as he was responsible for KOOLKANNA ROAD carrying underweight by not applying B Davis's towel to KOOLKANNA ROAD when he saddled the gelding.
The Clubs Veterinary Surgeon reported CHEIF IMPACT had been galloped on the off fore.
Subsequent to the event the Clubs Veterinary Surgeon reported GENERAL CLAUDIA appeared tied up in its action.
1st BALLY TURF KING, 2nd KOOLKANNA ROAD, 3rd CENTURY DANE
Race 5 - 3YO CLASS 3 HCP - 1200 metres
On jumping away NIGGLE shifted out abruptly into BELONG TO LOIRE taking that gelding out onto HIGHTOU and it having to be checked.
From the 550 metres until the entrance to the straight QUE was held up for a clear run.
MISHYFIT was presented at the mounting yard with the incorrect saddlecloth number. Ms J Cameron rider of MISHYFIT explained that she did not check the saddlecloth when she gave it to the stable representative. The stable representative Mr J Spain stated that he saddled MISHYFIT but did not check the saddlecloth number.
Ms J Cameron was fined $50 under AR175 (k) with negligence in providing the incorrect saddlecloth number. Mr J Spain was fined $50 under 140 (A) with negligence in the saddling of MISHYFIT, in that he saddled the filly with the incorrect saddlecloth number.
The Clubs Veterinary Surgeon inspected NIGGLE which performed below expectations and reported he could find no apparent abnormalities.

Race 6 - OPEN HCP - 1100 metres
Shortly after the start KIRIKIRISH shifted out taking PALACE GENERAL out onto TONKAA and it in turn out onto SUNSHINE RESOURCE. As a result SUNSHINE RESOURCE was taken out across the heels of GALIUM and clipped that geldings heels.
Near the 650 metres OOMPA was tightened slightly by CALL ME LUCKY which rolled. CALL ME LUCKY then shifted out, however OOMPA began to race ungenerously and shifted out onto CALL ME LUCKY'S hindquarters. The interference to OOMPA was exasperated when IL DUCA rolled out.
1st KIRIKIRISH, 2nd OOMPA, 3rd PALACE GENERAL
Race 7 - 3YO CLASS 3 HCP - 1000 metres
When the gates opened ROCKY BAY bounded in the air and lost some ground.
Near the 900 meters CAPE CLINTON and CHAMPION SPIRIT bumped resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced.
The Clubs Veterinary Surgeon reported ROCKY BAY was lame in the off fore.
