General: Stewards inquired into an incident after the running of race 2 which occurred in the scales area involving jockey M Hagley. When questioned, it was established that M Hagley had verbally abused jockey R Vigar post-race after an alleged incident during the race. It was alleged that R Vigar had applied continuous pressure to the outside of her mount from about the 500m, placing her in a dangerous position. Stewards inquired into the alleged incident and were satisfied that the patrol footage did not support M Hagley’s claims and that R Vigar was simply holding his ground which he was entitled to do and at no stage was her safety compromised. Stewards were also of the view that M Hagley had acted in a belligerent manner throughout the inquiry and subsequently she was advised that Stewards have placed her on notice that if she conducted herself in such a manner again, further action may be taken Against Her.
