General: On inquiry jockey R Vigar was found guilty of a breach of AR175(p) with the specifics being that he did fail to comply with a reasonable direction issued on Wednesday 21 June, 2017 by the DTC Track Supervisor. He was subsequently fined $200.  

Race 1: 0-58 HCP – 1100m

GOD FORBID (F Bergstrand) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped. Raced wide on straightening.

SHUUMATSU (W Davis) – Trainer K Petrick reported that the gelding had been involved in a mishap when being saddled and after undergoing a veterinary examination was cleared to compete.

MALIBU RAIN (S Ridler) – Commenced awkwardly. Commenced to resent the kickback leaving the 900m and raced ungenerously until taken outwards near the 650m.

PONTY (R Vigar) – Dipped at the start and then bumped another runner.

Race 2 - Class 2 HCP – 1000m

YULARA DRIVE (P Shiers) – The veterinarian reported that the gelding returned from the race with respiratory distress.

FREEDOMS (R Oakford) – Commenced awkwardly.

LITTLE JAY JAY (K Bishop) – Raced wide throughout.

CAPTAIN ARCHIE (J Todd) – Cast the off hind plate in running.

BLACK ENERGY (V Arnott) – Commenced awkwardly.

FOLK TALES (NZ) (S Brown) – Cast the near fore plate in running.

TOSS AND TELL(NZ) (R Oakford) – Resented the kickback and consequently raced ungenerously through the early and middle stages.

SENIOR COUNCIL (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.

CASH LEAKAGE (W Kerford) – A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained an injury to the near fore tendon. Trainer M Nyhan was advised he must present a veterinary certificate of soundness for the gelding prior to trialling or racing again.

GEE ONE EXPRESS (J Lyon) – Impeded behind the heels of a tiring runner rounding the home turn.

CULLINAN (C Spry) – Yielded ground prior to straightening. Cast the off hind plate in running.

FIRST DRAFT (K Cross) – Slow into stride.

HIGH TEC (NZ) (K Bishop) – Raced wide from the 600m.

WICKED PROMISE (F Bergstrand) – Commenced awkwardly.

RECONNECT (K Cross) – Steadied when racing keenly passing the 1100m.

JACKANORY (C Spry) - Subsequent to the meeting trainer D Leech reported that the gelding had undergone a lung wash and is receiving treatment for a respiratory condition.

BE COOL YOLANDER (R Vigar) – Bumped at the start. Raced wide throughout.

CASINO JAKE (R Booth) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.

Race 5 – 3YO Class 6 Handicap – 1300m

DELTA D'OR (Z Gibbs) – When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that although obliged to race wide throughout he was of the opinion that his mount had raced in a flat manner. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

BULLION WOLF (P Denton) – Compounded leaving the 600m. A post race veterinary examination revealed to have synchronous diaphragmatic flutter (thumps). Trainer G Kennewell subsequently advised that the gelding had also sustained a laceration  to the off fore heel and an abrasion to the near fore leg.

SO POYSED (J Lyon) – Bumped at the start. Bumped with another runner over the concluding stages.

KRUSTY (S Brown) - Bumped at the start. Raced wide in running. Bumped with another runner over the concluding stages.

ARROW LANE (S Ridler) – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Severely checked off the heels of a tiring runner leaving the 600m.

CAYMAN NITES (R Vigar) – When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider reported his mount did not handle the kickback.

DU BOIS (B Huppatz) – Buffeted between runners over the concluding stages.

Race 6 – Benchmark 76 Handicap – 1300m

MOON DEVIL (W Davis) – Raced wide throughout.

KAYNO (F Bergstrand) - Raced wide throughout.

LAGO GIRL (J Lyon) – Inclined to lay inwards in the early and middle stages. Subsequent to the meeting trainer D Leech reported that the mare had undergone a lung wash and is receiving treatment for a respiratory condition.

DANCING POETESS (R Vigar) – Bumped and impeded near the 1100m. Steadied passing the 700m.

Race 7 – Bernborough Cup – 1000m

HANDSOME TYCOON (R Oakford) – Raced wide in running.

GRACIOUS PROSPECT (J Todd) – Crowded shortly after the start.

BOOGIE WOOGIE MAN (C Spry) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.

SUPER ZULU (K Bishop) – Bumped at the start.
