Race 1  The Rock Bar  Handicap  1200 metres

CHIMA (L Crow) – Commenced awkwardly.

ENGINE FIFTY FIVE (F Bergstrand) – Raced wide in the early stages of the event

HOT DEMAND (J Todd) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Steadied off heels at the 650m. Bumped with another runner at the 800m.Shifted outwards around heels at the 200m to obtain clear running.

SACAMBAYA (W Kerford) – Bumped with runner at the 800m.

Race 2: Landmark Handicap  1200 metres

GROOTE EYLANDT (J Lyon) – Slow away and raced wide from the 600m.

RAZOR TIME (R Vigar) – Bumped with another runner at the 1100m.

SHAMPERS (L Crow) – Commenced slow into stride and shifted outwards abruptly at the 1100m bumping with another runner.

KILLA MOOVZ (K Gladwin) – Rider reminded of his obligations to ride his mounts out to the finish.

Race 3: Gillen Club Handicap  1100 metres

MOOT (F Bergstrand) – Commenced awkwardly.

REMBRANDT (L Crow) – Commenced a little awkwardly.

LOCK THE DOORS (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner.

NICCOCO (K Gladwin) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

ELECTRIC CRIMSON (J Lyon) – Bounded out of the barriers.

Race 4:  Inglis Handicap 1000 metres

PAGHMAN (J Lyon) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

CINOMENM (J Todd) – Commenced to lay outwards from the 600m to the 300m resulting in its rider unable to fully test his mount on straightening. Mr P Johnston representing trainer P Cole was advised that prior to again starting in a race, it must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a more tractable fashion. Mr Johnston was further advised that whilst Stewards did take into consideration it was the filly’s first start in a race, the severity of the filly’s actions during the race, could have placed its rider and other runners at risk and therefore warranted a barrier trial. A subsequent veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.

Race 5: Ladbrokes Maiden Plate DIV 1  1000 metres

FROM FIFTH (P Denton) – Slow into stride.

OPPERMAN (J Lyon) – Steadied off heels at the 400m. when racing ungenerously. After a disappointing performance, a veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.


Race 6: Ladbrokes Maiden Plate DIV 2 1000 metres

BRAZILLIANT (R Vigar) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

DOOKIE EXPRESS (R Hancock) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

FIVE FORCES (F Bergstrand) – Taken inwards by another runner shortly after jumping.

WINGARD (P Denton) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

MEGA FAITH (K Cross) – Shifted inwards on jumping bumping with another runner.

OL’ BLUE EYES (W Kerford) – Slow into stride and rider having to take hold shortly after when tightened onto the rails after mustering speed to regain its position.

ELLIE MOSH (J Todd) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.


Race 7: Darwin Horse Floats Handicap 1600 metres

EL GRECO (J Todd) – After a disappointing performance, a veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.

PRIMEIRO (R Vigar) – Shifted inwards from the 150m under pressure.

INGENIOUS (W Kerford) – Fractious in the barriers.
