Stewards interviewed trainer L Whittle in regards to the riding instructions she intended to give each jockey as her stable had multiple runners in the event.

MRS YARGI (L Miller) was declared a late scratching at 4:13 by order of the Stewards after refusing to load into the barriers. Stable foreman for Greg Connor Mr J Bell was advised that prior to that mare again starting in a race, it must trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards, with the emphasis on loading in a timely manner.

As there was no on-course book-maker, no deductions were applicable.

LUCK’S A CHANCE (L Crow) – Commenced a little awkwardly.

WINGARD (W Kerford) – Raced wide throughout.

MACARIA (F Bergstrand) – Commenced awkwardly.

PAUSINI (R Hancock) – Bounded at the start hitting the side of the barriers.
