Race 1: TROBIS Maiden Plte 1000m
ALMIGHTY BROWN (B Davis) – Bumped at the start.
CRESTA CHROME (F Bergstrand) – Returned to the enclosure with blood in its mouth from a tongue laceration.
BE COOL YOLANDER (R Vigar) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped. Rider reported that his left foot became partially displaced from the stirrup iron which he adjusted near the 250m.
LAKE BENANEE (C Spry) – Bumped at the start. Yielded ground from the 600m. Trainer D Leech advised that the filly will now be retired.
PINCENTIA (W Davis) – Commenced awkwardly and veered outwards losing ground.
Race 2 - 0 - 58 Hcp 1300m
HARLEQUIN BELLS($17) and ROYALS ($3.50) were both withdrawn at the barriers by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice at 3.16pm.
Stewards ruled that all bets placed on both runners were to be refunded and the following deductions were applicable to all successful wagers placed prior to 3.16pm.

HARLEQUIN BELLS (W Davis) was examined behind the barriers at the request of its rider and found to have a laceration on the top of its head (poll). When interviewed trainer S Clarke advised that he was unaware that the gelding had sustained this laceration and on the evidence available the Stewards were of the opinion that in all likelihood it had occurred whilst the gelding was being transported to the course.
ROYALS (S Ridler) was also examined at the request of its rider and found to be lame in the off fore leg. Trainer P Johnston was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.
BENGALI (P Shiers) – Knuckled badly at the start unbalancing its rider. Resented the kickback through the middle stages and raced with its head in the air.
CULLINAN (C Spry) – Commenced awkwardly.
TALLAGE (S Altieri) – Raced wide throughout.
Race 3 - 0 - 64 Hcp 1300m
CELEBRAKTI (R Oakford) – Raced wide throughout.
RYE (W Davis) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.
FREEDOMS (R Vigar) – Raced wide throughout.
PHOENIX ARIZONA (C Spry) – Bumped at the start.
BRIMARVI CUGAT (S Ridler) – Dwelt at the start.

SLADE DE CERISY (S Ridler) – Slow into stride.
FAMOUS FINNISH (V Arnott) – Raced wide throughout.
Race 5 - BM54 Hcp 1100m
MYSTERY BLACK($31) – Was withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 5.03pm when the gelding refused to load into the barriers. Stewards ruled that all bets placed on the gelding were to be refunded and the following deductions were applicable to all successful wagers placed prior to 5.03pm.

As MYSTERY BLACK has previously been embargoed for its barrier manners on multiple occasions, trainer C Pollard was advised that the gelding must compete satisfactorily in 2 barrier trials prior to racing again.
OH SO JAZZY (F Bergstrand) – At the request of its rider the mare underwent a veterinary examination at the barriers and was cleared to compete.
HOWDEE (P Shiers) – Lay inwards approaching the first turn and was then bumped and unbalanced near the700m.
MAGIC GREG (R Oakford) – Commenced awkwardly. Contacted the running rail and then bumped another runner at the 700m.
MELANION (C Spry) – Bumped at the start.
TIGRA (S Altieri) – Raced wide throughout.
EMPTYYAPOCKETS (B Davis) – Bumped at the start and then carried inwards and crowded shortly after.
Post race samples were taken from all winners and second placegetters.
Race 3 – Trainer D Penna fined $50 for presenting RYE without a tongue tie.

Race 5 – MYSTERY BLACK must barrier trial twice
