Race 1 Kakala Oswald 20.4 Years Handicap 1200 metres
SHOOT ‘N’ SCOOT (F Bergstrand) – Steadied off heels at the 700m.
NEVER POINTLESS (K Gladwin) – Taken out slightly by another runner at the 700m.
RIBERA DEL DUERO (D Pisani) – Knuckled on jumping.
AUSBRED ROYAL (T Gillett) – Shifted out slightly at the 700m.
SHADOW DUNES (B Hupppatz) – Knuckled on jumping. Held up momentarily for clear run at the 200m.
LE COMMANDO (S Altieri) – Inclined to lay out under pressure down the length of the straight.
Race 2: Warren Bramham 20.6 Years Handicap 1100 metres
SIMON THE LIKEABLE (S Altieri) – Reared as the gates opened and lost considerable ground.
ONELASTDIG (K Gladwin) – Fractious in the barriers and missed the start.
CHARLE BELLE (M Tyndall) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and inclined to lay in under pressure down the length of the straight.
LOTTA DAME (D Pisani) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
STRUTTIN’ MY STUFF (J Bates) – Knuckled on jumping.
Race 3: Stasiek Struginski (Stash) 22.6 Years Handicap 1000 metres
THE HUMMEL (F Bergstrand) – After the unplaced performance, rider advised that the gelding raced in a flat manner and was reluctant to stretch out. Trainer reported that he will see how the gelding pulls up before making any future racing decision. Trainer subsequently advised that the gelding would now be spelled.
Race 4: Anthony Hanton 22.10 Years Handicap 1000 metres
SHIVARCHI (M Tyndall) – Steadied off heels at the 600m.
VAN PERSIE (K Gladwin) – Tightened between runners on the line and had to take hold.
MR GOOD LOOKING (W Kerford) – Slow into stride.
WILD RUN (B Davis) – Slow into stride bumping with another runner. Lay outwards rounding the home turn and down the length of the straight causing its rider some difficulties. Trainer advised that prior to that mare again starting in a race, it must trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a tractable manner.
MASKA (D Pisani) – Stood flat footed as gates opened and then bumped with another runner.
FULL MARKS (F Bergstrand) – Steadied momentarily off heels at the 70m.
Race 5: Karen Evans 26.5 Years Handicap 1400 metres
Prior to this race, Stewards interviewed trainer K Lamprecht in regards to the riding instructions he intended to give each rider bearing in mind he had 3 runners.
HILLBILLY RICH (F Bergstrand) – Commenced to roll out under pressure from the 100m.
CASINO EXIT (W Kerford) – Commenced awkwardly.
BIANCONI’S SON (S Altieri) – Steadied off heels at the 350m when inconvenienced for a clear run.
REDOUTE’S CHOICE (D Pisani) – Stood flatfooted when the gates opened and lost some ground.
GIRL HAPPY (B Davis) – Attempted to buck for a number of strides shortly after jumping and raced ungenerously rounding the first turn and raced wide throughout. Trainer advised that prior to that mare again starting in a race, it must trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a tractable manner.
