Race 1 Ladbrokes Handicap (Div 1) 1200 metres

CATTLECAMP CROONER was a late scratching at 2:28 on veterinary advice after being fractious in the barriers and sustaining an injury to its off-side hock. As there was no book maker in attendance, there were no betting deductions to announce.

DU BOIS (W Kerford) – Commenced awkwardly.

RANDI (F Bergstrand) – Taken out wide by runner at 700m and steadied off heels shortly after.

NEWSWORTHY (B Davis) – Hung outwards throughout the event causing its rider some difficulties in keeping straight. Trainer advised that prior to racing again, the gelding must trial in a more tractable manner to the satisfaction of the Stewards.

Race 2: Ladbrokes Handicap (Div 2) 1200 metres

HALOGEM (W Kerford) – Commenced a little awkwardly and bumped with runner. Rider reported that he was not disappointed in the geldings performance today as he is looking for further ground.

GUN RULE (B Davis) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

UNCOVERED WEALTH (Z Gibbs) – Raced wide into the home straight. On returning to scale was found to have bled from off-side nostril. Trainer advised of his requirements under AR53A(7).

Race 3: Thank You Des Friedrich Handicap 1200 metres

QUANTUM DOT (Z Gibbs) – Bumped with another runner on several occasions on jumping.

BEL’S LAD (B Huppatz) – Bumped with another runner on several occasions on jumping.

EMPRESS O’REILLY (P Denton) – Commenced slow into stride.

THE HUMMEL (F Bergstrand) – After a disappointing performance, a veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

ENGINE FIFTY FIVE (P Crich) – Raced wide throughout the event.

Race 4: Holdfast Handicap 1100 metres

SHORT SHIFT (R Vigar) – Knuckled slightly on jumping.

LADY PHROMILY (P Denton) – Reared as start was effected and lost some ground.

ZIZZELDO (F Bergstrand) – Was found to have bled from both nostrils on returning to scale. Trainer advised of his requirements under AR53A(4)(b).

Race 5: Harvey Norman Handicap 1100 metres

Prior to this race, Stewards interviewed trainer L Gillett in regards to hers riding instructions she intended to give each rider bearing in mind she had multiple runners in this event.

LADWELL was a late scratching at 4:35 on veterinary advice after being fractious in the day stalls and sustaining a minor injury to its head.

As there was no book maker in attendance, there were no deductions to be announced.

VIA MAZZINI (M Hart) – Rider reported that the gelding did not run on as anticipated.

TEQUILA RED (W Kerford) – Commenced a little awkwardly.

HARMONIUM BLUES (P Denton) – Raced wide throughout.

Race 6: Colemans Printing Handicap 1400 metres

SHINSKY (Z Gibbs) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

ALPHA SON (B Huppatz) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

JUST TOO HARD (B Davis) – Commenced awkwardly.
