General: On inquiry, apprentice L Crow, in the presence of trainer Mr W Savage was found guilty of a charge under AR137(b) in that she failed to ride her mount out approaching the end of the race. The specifics being that between the 75m and the 30m she stopped riding her mount out to the line and that her actions have cost her mount maintaining second or third position. Apprentice Crow had her licence to ride in races suspended from midnight the 26th June to expire midnight the 3rd July 2016 (1 Alice Springs meeting). Stewards when considering penalty were mindful that apprentice Crow has only had her permit to ride in races for a short period of time and that this was her first breach of any Rules of Racing. Apprentice Crow was notified of her right of appeal.
