As jockey J Lyon was stood down by Stewards acting under AR81A(3), the following replacements were approved :

The start of this meeting was delayed due to a lightning storm which was passing over the race course. Subsequent to the storm passing, a track inspection with Stewards and a delegation of senior riders were satisfied that the track was safe to continue racing and Stewards amended the start times of all races to the following :

Race 4)  4:46

Race 1  Red Centre Technology Partners  Handicap  1200 metres

Stewards interviewed trainer L Whittle in regards to the riding instructions she intended to give each jockey as her stable had multiple runners in the event.

AMERICAN ICON (L Miller) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

WINGARD’S MARK (S Ridler) – Rolled in slightly at the 650m.

MITOCHONDRIA (F Bergstrand) – Steadied off heels at the 650m when racing ungenerously into the first turn.

PARTING SHOT (W Kerford) – Commenced awkwardly losing some ground.

URBAN BOURBON (R Hancock) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

Race 2: Colemans Printing Alice Springs Handicap  1100 metres

MCKENNA (S Ridler) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Inclined to over-race in the middle stages of the event.

RHYTHMICAL (F Bergstrand) – Slow into stride. Inclined to lay outwards under pressure rounding the home turn.

REASSIGNMENT (R Hancock) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

REWARDABLE (L Crow) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner.

RUBY FOR HENRY (W Kerford) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

Race 3: Central Australian Removals Handicap  1100 metres

ICEFLOW (S Ridler) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

NORDIC ECLIPSE (L Miller) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

KENTUCKY FIREBALL (R Vigar) – Commenced to race wide from the 700m

Race 4:  Lasseters Maiden Plate 1000 metres

Stewards interviewed trainer L Whittle in regards to the riding instructions she intended to give each jockey as her stable had multiple runners in the event.

CAPTAIN OASIS (F Bergstrand) – Tightened between runners on jumping. Was found to have bled from the off-side nostril. Trainer advised of her obligations under AR53A(7).

IWAUNA (L Miller) – Slow into stride.

LUCK’S A CHANCE (W Kerford) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner.

FLAD FUORI (S Ridler) – Bumped with another runner shortly after jumping becoming momentarily unbalanced.

Race 5: XXXX Gold Handicap  1400 metres

DU BOIS (B Huppatz) – Fractious in the barriers.

CATCHTHERAINBOW (W Kerford) – Fractious in the barriers. Subsequent to this event Trainer R Bell reported to Stewards that the mare had sustained a laceration above the off-side eye

Race 6: Ladbrokes Class 2 Handicap 1400 metres

HOLY FIRE (R Vigar) – Commenced awkwardly.

CAT’S ALLEY (F Bergstrand) – Inclined to shift out under pressure from the 100m.

FREDERATION (R Handcock) – Steadied between runners into the first turn.
