Race 1: Maiden Plate 1300m

General: DTC meeting 12 March, 2016.

Trainer G Clarke’s representative reported that ADAGE (race 1) had returned to the stables with swollen hind legs and has since been treated for a virus.

TATAMAGOUCHE (B Huppatz) – Raced wide throughout. Carried outwards over the concluding stages.

CHICA CALIENTE (R Rhodes) – Commenced awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages and consequently was steadied between the 800m and the 600m.

POINSETTIA (F Bergstrand) – Shifted ground under pressure in the straight.

Race 2: 0 - 64 Handicap 1300m

FURIOUS JET (R Rhodes) – Steadied from heels near the 650m.

AIR STRIKER (C Spry) – Raced wide from the 600m.

TIPSY ON RED (W Davis) – Bumped at the start.

SABRES (R Oakford)  - Buffeted between runners at the start. Following the unplaced performance trainer Mr C Spry advised that the gelding will no longer continue its preparation in his stable.

STREET RELATED (R Vigar) – Yielded ground from the 600m and was eased down in the straight. The gelding returned having bled from both nostrils and is therefore stood down from racing for 3 months under the provisions of AR53.

Race 3: 0 – 58 Handicap 1600m

EVENING LADIES (W Davis) – Shifted ground inwards under pressure over the final 50m.

MIRKA (F Bergstrand) – Bounded at the start and lost ground.

THING OF NOTHING (C Spry) – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages when leading.

BELDAN (B Davis) – Commenced awkwardly.

Race 4: 0 – 58 Handicap 1200m

CRACKED (R Oakford) – Raced wide throughout.

SECOND BASE (M Tyndall) – Raced keenly in the early stages.

SWICK SASSO (R Rhodes) – The gelding returned having bled from both nostrils and is therefore stood down from racing for 3 months under the provisions of AR53.
