Race 1 - MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres:

On jumping away VENUE shifted in slightly onto BENAVARRO. Shortly after the start MARSEILLAISE shifted in and tightened VENUE onto BENAVARRO.

Race 2 – 0 - 58 HCP - 1100 metres:

Ms S Montgomerie was unable to ride STIRRUP CUP (Race 2) and ARAPAHO HEIGHTS (Race 3)  at her declared MRW of 54.0 kg.

Despite there being another suitable replacement rider Stewards acceded to requests from the respective trainers of the above horses and allowed S Montgomerie to fulfil her engagements 1 kg over her MRW.

Ms Montgomerie advised the Stewards that she had been unwell for several days leading up to today's races and also she had been struggling in general with her weight. 

Stewards reprimanded S Montgomerie for failing to ride at her MRW and advised her that she must ensure she sets her MRW at a level which was realistic.  

On jumping away TRES CHERE shifted in abruptly taking BELVIDERE BABE in onto TENNESSEE CAT, as a result BELVIDERE BABE and TENNESSE CAT were turned sideways. 

FLYING FACE jumped away awkwardly and lost some ground as a consequence.

The Club's Veterinary Surgeon reported that TRES CHERE had suffered a laceration to the near fore heel during the event.

AVIDSON lost both hind plates during the event.

Race 3 – 0 - 69 HCP (DIV 1) - 1200 metres:

The following horses were slow to begin when the gates opened ARAPAHO HEIGHTS, THE PINK PANZER and TREGOLO.

Mr C Pollard trainer of THE PINK PANZER was fined $50 for presenting that gelding with incorrect gear (AR140A).

Race 4 – 0 - 69 HCP (DIV 2) - 1200 metres:

Near the 100 metres MONARCHS RULE rolled out and bumped JERRYKOOLER.

1st GENERAL MAZERATTI 2nd DEPINSKY 3rd JERRYKOOLER

Race 5 – BENCHMARK 76 HCP - 1300 metres:

On jumping away MANNING and BENNETTS LANE came together.  Shortly after HARGITAY rolled out tightening the runners on his outside.  As a result TESTAGOLD was taken out onto BENNETTS LANE which had to be eased. 

Rounding the latter part of the home turn BENNETT'S LANE was held up for a clear run behind TESTAGOLD which had rolled in.

STEAL THE CASH lost both front plates during the event.

1st STEAL THE CASH 2nd PHANTOM VERDE 3rd HARGITAY

Race 6 – 0 - 63 HCP - 1600 metres:

On jumping away HANNESBURG shifted out and bumped PAPANDREOU, resulting in that gelding going out and tightening HOSTILE ELEMENT out onto INVISIBLE CITY.  MELODY STREET which was to the outside had to be eased off the heels of INVISIBLE CITY as a consequence.

Post race swab samples were taken from all winners.
