Race 1 - SPECIAL CONDITIONS HCP - 1300 metres
On jumping away LACRYMA STAR shifted in taking TWO SONS in onto HIDDEN ASSETS resulting in HIDDEN ASSETS being hampered.
The Club's Veterinary Surgeon reported that HIDDEN ASSETS which performed below expectations was lame in the off fore. Mr N Connor trainer of HIDDEN ASSETS was notified that a satisfactory veterinary certificate must be produced prior to that gelding racing again.
1st TESTAGOLD, 2nd PALMYRA BOY, 3rd TWO SONS
Race 2 - MAIDEN HCP - 1200 metres
Shortly after the start MICRO PRINCE bucked for some distance and dislodged the rider J Riley.
Mr M Rumble trainer of MICRO PRINCE was advised that a warning would be issued against the gelding and if it was to perform in a similar manner in the future it may be suspended.
J Cameron rider of MCKECHNIE dropped her whip near the 500 metres.
Ms T Halter trainer of STANCE which was difficult to load in the barriers was advised that it must trial to the satisfaction of the stewards prior to racing again.
Mr K Lamprecht trainer of MCKECHNIE was fined $50 under AR140 A for presenting that gelding with incorrect gear.
B Davis rider of OUR DARBY ROSE was questioned regarding him racing so wide rounding the turn. B Davis stated that the mare did not appreciate the sand coming back and for this reason he stayed wide on the track.
Stewards notified B Davis that in their view racing so wide on the track was detrimental to it's chance of success and they believe that he should have saved ground rounding the turn by shifting in closer to the rail. Further that in future stewards would expect that he make an effort to save ground where possible.
Mr S Brown trainer of OUR DARBY ROSE was advised that in the opinion of the stewards B Davis's riding of the mare was detrimental to its chances in the race.
Mr M Nyhan trainer of WYNEEMA was fined $50 under AR140 A for presenting that gelding with incorrect gear.
Mr C Pollard trainer of LIL MISS GIGGLES was fined $50 under AR140 A for presenting that mare with incorrect gear.
1st DASHERWAY, 2nd ROLE MODEL, 3rd STANCE
Race 3 - 0-66 HCP - 1100 metres
When the gates opened TOP LEVEL was slow to begin.
On jumping away NIGGLE jumped awkwardly and struck the gates and then cannoned into YUKI and hampered that gelding.
Near the 600 metres TATSUHARA which was making ground ran up onto the heels of TOP LEVEL and as a result had to be eased and change course.
Rounding the turn NIGGLE had a tendency to lay out.

Race 4 - 0-58 HCP - 1000 metres
Shortly after jumping MISS MONTICITO was bumped by BOHEMIAN DREAMS and became unbalanced.
Mr S Brown trainer of ATOMIC CHILLI which was difficult to load in the barriers was advised that if the gelding was to perform in a similar manner in the future some action may be taken.
After being placed in the barriers A WEE DRAM reared over backwards and became cast and WYREEMA became fractious.
The Club's Veterinary Surgeon inspected WYREEMA and passed it fit to run and inspected A WEE DRAM and stated that the filly had a laceration to its hind leg and was not fit to start.
Stewards ordered the withdrawal of A WEE DRAM on veterinary advice at 3.33pm. Stewards ordered all monies wagered on A WEE DRAM to be refunded and all monies wagered on the event prior to the withdrawal of A WEE DRAM to be paid as follows:- for the win, face value of the ticket less 26 cents in the dollar. For the place, face value of the ticket less 19 cents in the dollar.

At the entrance to the straight PENNINA was disappointed for a run between WHATYOUWAITINGFOR and RACE MEMORY.
1st ACCESS DENIED, 2nd PENINA, 3rd MANHATTAN JAZZ
Race 6 - 0-76 HCP - 1600 metres
Shortly after the start FRESH TELL shifted out and tightened BENNETTS LANE. As result FRESH TELL were turned inwards accentuating the interference to BENNETS LANE.
1st MARCO LARGO, 2nd WONSOK, 3rd BENNETTS LANE
Race 7 - 0-62 HCP - 1300 metres
LEGAL PURSUIT was slow to begin when the gates opened.
1st BLACK LOOT, 2nd SARLAT, 3rd RUDYARD
Post race samples were taken from all winners Palmyra Boy and Stance.
Pre race samples were taken from Sun for Sale, Paternity, Spakatak, Carneggan Jester, Fresh Tell, Mahanga, Marco Largo, Prince Callum, Off the Richter, Port Pegasus, Bennett's Lane and, Wonsok.
