Metro/Regional 2023 Racing Industry Job Vacancy Survey

TRNT is conducting a Racing Industry Employment Survey and is seeking the participation of you and other licensed Racehorse Trainers across the NT.

We are gathering survey data to measure industry employment and recruitment efforts across the NT and identify labour shortages that have arisen and severely impact our industry.

Labour shortages have affected many Australian industries due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The results of the survey will play an important role and will assist to:

• Identify any employment or labour shortages to assist with approaches to State Government for further local training, education and recruitment assistance; and
• Assist with approaches to Federal Government to support foreign skilled worker recruitments to fill any identified shortages.

(Racing Australia has engaged with Job Skills Australia (JSA) to put forward a submission for the addition of Trackwork Rider and Stablehand to the national Skills Priority List)
