Race 1: 0-62 1100m

PERDU (C Spry) - Slow into stride.

PORT TRIANO (P Denton) – Raced wide throughout. Trainer K Petrick was of the opinion that the gelding had choked down in running and she intends to add a tongue tie for its next start.

DUST N DIAMONDS (S Fawke) – Impeded from heels near the 1000m. Raced wide on straightening.

Race 2: 3&4YO 1100m

BON AIRE (C Spry) - Bumped at the start. Steadied at the 700m. Momentarily impeded when making ground passing the 200m.

DON’T FORGET TINY (J Kah) - Bumped at the start.

MIGHTY MICK (S Tsaikos) – When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that his mount was under pressure at the 600m and in his opinion raced in a flat manner. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

TOORAK  ROAD (P Hall) – Steadied at the 700m.

ALPHA CHEW CHEW  (S Fawke) – Raced wide throughout. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Race 3: 0-58 1300m

ZIMZALA (B Davis) – Bumped at the start. Raced wide throughout. Rider reported his saddle shifted in running.

LATEST BENTLEY (J Kah) – Shifted outwards and clipped the heels of another runner and dipped near the 650m.

OMINOUS WARNING (P Shiers) – Bumped at the start. Raced wide throughout.

FROM FIFTH (B Sweeney) – Raced keenly and lay outwards passing the 650m.

MRS YARGI (J Lyon) – Raced wide from the 600m.

Race 4: 0-66 1200m

SKY MUSTER (B Davis) – Bumped at the start. Shifted outwards when under pressure near the 100m.

TEA TREE GULLY (P Shiers) - Bumped at the start.

CADMAN (R Vigar) – Held up for clear running between the 450m and the 300m. Impeded from heels over the concluding stages.

CUNNING MOVES  (C Spry) – Bumped by another runner and became unbalanced losing momentum approaching the 600m.

GAMORA  (S Fawke) – Lay outwards through the middle stages and rounding the home turn.

Race 5: Maiden 1200m

BORLUNG (F Bersgstrand) – Bumped and crowded at the start. Had a tendency to lay in and away from another runner in the back straight, placing its rider in some difficulty when attempting to straighten her mount.

ZIGZAGZOU (P Denton) – When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that the gelding was cantankerous behind the barriers and had commenced awkwardly and was bumped at the start. He explained that after riding his mount vigorously in the early stages to race on the speed the gelding was under pressure leaving the 600m and yielded ground from thereon. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

CAITLIN’S ANGEL (M Tyndall) - Bumped at the start.

EFFECTUATE (K Gladwin) - Bumped at the start.

MARYMOUNT LASS (S Tsaikos) - Bumped heavily at the start.

TAIPEI DANCER (V Arnott) – Had a tendency to lay inwards throughout running

Race 6: Sprint 1200m

RUETTIGER  (J Lyon) – When questioned rider advised that his mount commenced to resent the kickback passing the 700m and as a result lost ground.

ROGER THE ROMAN (P Hall) – Commenced awkwardly and crowded after the start.

ARCTIC SONG (J Todd) – Scrambled at the start.

JACKANORY (J Kah) – Bounded at the start.

NICCOCO (R Vigar) – Resaddled behind the barriers. Raced wide throughout.

Race 7: 0-66 1600m

Stewards interviewed trainer N Dyer in relation to his riding instructions as his stable had multiple runners in this event.

RECONNECT (K Gladwin) – Raced wide throughout.

OUR BARTY (W Davis) – Commenced awkwardly.

MISS MOSH  (J Kah) – Bounded at the start.

RUSTIC DEBUTANTE  (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly. Racing into the first turn the gelding veered outwards abruptly across heels and had to be checked from heels. Rider advised that his mount then raced tractably after this incident. Trainer N Dyer was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing manners.

OUR SWAGMAN (S Fawke) – Inclined to lay outwards rounding the home turn.


Swab samples were taken from all winners, NICCOCO and RUETTIGER. Pre race samples were taken from PERDU, NORDIC ECLIPSE, AMERICAN HUSTLE, ALPHA CHEW CHEW, OMBROMANI, MARYMOUNT MISS, SUNSET STAR, INWOOD, INTERNSHIP, TRAMPS LIKE US and all runners engaged in Race 6.
