NICCOCO (P Shiers) – When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that his mount was under pressure leaving the 500m and failed to run on in the straight as anticipated. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
METALLIC CROWN (K Gladwin) – Raced wide throughout.
ZOCALOS (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly.
Race 2: BM54 1200m
Trainer G Clarke was interviewed in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue bearing in mind his stable had multiple runners in this event.
COUNT OF ESSEX (C Spry) – Bumped at the start. Subsequent to the meeting trainer G Clarke reported that the gelding required treatment for a bout of colic after returning to his stables.
LOOKING FOR YOU (J Todd) – Bumped at the start.
ROCK N RHYTHM (V Arnott) – Raced wide from the 600m.
BLACK HAZE (K Gladwin) – Raced wide throughout.
Race 3: 0-70 1100m
Correct weight was delayed to allow jockey P Denton (EVIL DREAMS) to view the patrol vision of the start and the Stewards were satisfied his mount had been afforded a fair start.
EVIL DREAMS (P Denton) – Fractious in the barriers and got its head down prior to the start being effected and consequently lost ground when the gates opened.
JOLLY BOY (R Vigar) – Plating change approved for pads in front.
OMINOUS WARNING (S Wiseman) – Commenced awkwardly and veered outwards.
TICKET TO PARIS (W Davis) – Lay outwards through the middle stages.
Race 4: CL2 1100m
At the request of SKY channel the start time of this event was amended to 4.42pm.
Stewards interviewed dual licensee C Spry in regards to his riding instructions as his stable had two runners in this event.
MEAZZA (K Gladwin) – Bumped at the start. Mistrode rounding the home turn and became unbalanced.
MCINTYRE (P Shiers) – Fractious in the barriers and then reared at the start and lost ground.
ALSOADAMAS (V Arnott) – Bumped at the start.
WICKED AFFAIR (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.
EXCEED WITH MAGIC (S Wiseman) – Eased down in the straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained an injury to the near fore tendon. Trainer P Cole was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding and it must barrier trial satisfactorily prior to racing again
HATTAN MAN (R Vigar) – Plating change approved for bar plates in front. Commenced awkwardly and bumped.
Race 5: 0-58 1000M
ISLE OF LIGHT (S Wiseman) – Bumped and unbalanced at the 1200m. Held up for clear running
ROSTI (C Spry) – Commenced awkwardly.
REDWOOD GARDENS (V Arnott) – Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide from the 1000m.
ROCKMEARTIE (B Huppatz) – Shifted inwards bumped another runner at the 1200m.

Post race samples were taken from all winners. Pre race samples were taken from HARREBS TIME, COUNT OF ESSEX, ROCK ‘N’ RHYTHM, CUNNING MOVES, EXCEED WITH MAGIC & REDWOOD GARDENS.
