Race 1: 3YO BMNT 1100M

Trainer G Clarke was interviewed in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue bearing in mind his stable had multiple runners in this event.

PAGHMAN – (K Gladwin) – Commenced awkwardly bumping and tightened between runners on jumping

EDENHOPE – (V Arnott) – Mistrode at the 600m and lost ground

HARRY HELLRAISER – (R Vigar) – Ridden hard early to secure a forward position

CINOMENM – (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped with another runner, inclined to lay inwards under pressure over the concluding stages.

SHOWY ME – (W Davis) – Commenced awkwardly losing ground.

SWEET NORTH – (P Crich) – Slow into stride and wide throughout

MISS ZELDA – (S Wiseman) – Wide throughout

Race 2: 0-70 1000M

BAKSLAP - (R Vigar) – Commenced awkwardly momentarily unbalancing its rider.

MAVERICKS – (M Hart) –Bumped with another runner on jumping.

DARK WHIRLWIND – (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly

SABAI SABAI – (W Davis) – Fractious in the mounting yard and made contact with the mounting yard fence, a pre-race veterinary examination was conducted and the mare was subsequently cleared to race. Steadied outwards off heals at the 800m and bumped with another runner.

MADAME DUPORTH – (P Denton) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Lay inwards bumping another runner at the 800m.

Race 3: 0-58 1300M

A Post Race swab sample from the winner of this event was unable to be collected due to circumstances beyond the control of the veterinary surgeon and swabbing attendant.

AMIGO MIO – (P Shiers) – Rider reported that the gelding did not perform as anticipated and was under pressure from the 500m.

FIZZY ONE - (B Huppatz) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner

LUNAR JOY – (S Wiseman) - The mare bled from both nostrils during the race. Trainer P Cole was advised of the provisions of AR53. Trainer P Cole advised the mare is now retired.

CAN LA – (P Denton) – Rider reported that his saddle slipped in running.

ROCK N RHYTHM – (V Arnott) – Bumped at the start

POWERSTRETCHER – (P Crich) – Inclined to lay outwards throughout. Rider was questioned about his unnecessary use of the whip when out of contention and reminded of his obligations under AR137A (4) (c)

Race 4: WFA 1300M

Trainer G Clarke was interviewed in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue bearing in mind his stable had multiple runners in this event.

BRUNSWICK STREET – (P Shiers) - Bumped with another on jumping

EVIL DREAMS – (W Davis) - Bumped with another on jumping.

JAVA – (J Todd) - Bumped with another on jumping.

LOOKATIM GO – (P Crich) – Dipped on jumping and bumped with another runner

METALLICK CROWN – (C Spry) - Bumped with another on jumping.

WAS AGONA – (P Denton) - Bumped with another on jumping. Yielded ground from the 550m and commenced to ease out of the race finishing well back. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained an injury to the near fore tendon. Trainer K Petrick was advised that prior to racing again a veterinary certificate of soundness satisfactory to the stewards must be produced.

Race 5: CL 1200M

SON OF A FLING – (C Spry) – Slow into stride bumping with another runner and raced wide into the straight

HATTAN MAN – (R Vigar) – Bumped at the start

LIBERTY’S TORCH – (P Denton) - Bumped at the start

FIRESON – (V Arnott) - Bumped at the start

WAWRINKA – (K Gladwin) – Steadied off heals shortly after the start.

ZIZAGZOU – (W Davis) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.

Race 6:BM54 1600M

MURPHY – (V Arnott) - A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained an injury to the off fore tendon. Trainer J Manning was advised that prior to racing again a veterinary certificate of soundness satisfactory to the stewards must be produced.

STAN – (C Spry) – Bumped at the start

REDWOOD GARDENS – (S Wiseman) – Inclined to lay inwards under pressure down the length of the straight

BORLUNG – (P Denton) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped with another runner at the start.

ROCKMEARTIE – (B Huppatz) – Over-raced in the early and middle stages.

FOXY LULU – (W Davis) - Commenced awkwardly and bumped with another runner momentarily unbalancing its rider. Due to the mares poor performance a post-race veterinary examination was conducted revealing apparent no abnormalities.
