General: On inquiry Jockey M Hart (AMIGO MIO) was reprimanded for careless riding under AR137(a) for allowing his mount to shift ground inwards at the 100m when insufficiently clear of another runner.

Trainer C Pollard was interviewed in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue his riders bearing in mind his stable had multiple runners in this event.
COUNT OF ESSEX – (C Spry) - Steadied off heals at the 700m, inconvenienced for clear running from the 750m to the 550m having to steady off heals on several occasions.
SHOWY ME – (K Gladwin) – Cast near hind shoe in running
TERRITORY TITAN – (J Todd) – Stood flat footed as the gates opened and lost ground. Raced ungenerously rounding the home turn and commenced to lay inward
FIZZY ONE – (M Hart) – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start
HELL OFA GOOD SORT – (R Vigar) – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start, wide throughout
JOKER POKER – (P Crich) – Steadied off heals at the 700m

Trainer G Clarke was interviewed in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue his riders bearing in mind his stable had multiple runners in this event.
MAKIN THE GRADE – (K Gladwin) – Fractious in the barriers, bumped with another runner on jumping, raced wide in the early and middle stages
MARBEL DUKE – (C Spry) – Commenced awkwardly

JOLLY BOY – (P Crich) – Bumped with another runner on jumping, Cast a near fore shoe in running. Due to the geldings disappointing performance a post-race veterinary examination was conducted revealing no apparent abnormalities.
KAPTAN APOLLO – (K Gladwin) – Slow away bumping with another runner, inclined to lay inwards under pressure rounding the home turn

General: The start of this race was delayed due to MISS ZELA being resaddled behind the barriers
MEAZZA – (K Gladwin) – Inclined to lay inwards under pressure down the length of the straight
TREGORIK – (R Vigar) - Commenced awkwardly and ridden hard early to gain a forward position
MELANION – (M Hart) – Slow into stride
FLINDERS BEACH – (B Huppatz) - Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner
TIGER TRAP – (S Wiseman) – Knuckled slightly on jumping
MISS ZELDA – (P Crich) – Bumped with another runner on jumping
FOXY LULU – (W Davis) – Wide throughout, steadied off heals at the 800m and again at the 700m whilst racing keenly
