PIGEON (H Le Blanc) – Fractious enroute to the barriers. Stood flat-footed and refused to jump when the gates opened. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to the near side hind quarters. Trainer P Johnston was advised that the mare must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again.
EPIC JEWEL (D Hirini) – Commenced awkwardly. Hung out rounding the home turn.

Stewards interviewed trainer K Healy in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in this event.

Race 6: Remote Concrete N.T./Ladbrokes Tennant Creek Cup - 1600m
Following this event jockey S Tsaikos, rider of the second placed THE GIRL’S BOY lodged a protest against the winner VENTING (I Luximon) alleging interference from the top of the straight to the finish line. After considering the evidence of both riders and viewing the available patrol films the Stewards could not be satisfied that VENTING had caused any interference to THE GIRL'S BOY and therefore the protest was dismissed and correct weight given.
VENTING (I Luximon) – Commenced awkwardly and was slow into stride. Raced wide throughout. Bumped by another runner on straightening. Shifted inwards from the top of the straight to the 50m.
THE GIRL’S BOY (S Tsaikos) – Shifted outwards on straightening and bumped with another runner.
