Race 1 Vetmeds365 Handicap 1200 metres

ICE HUNT (D Morgan) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Inclined to shift outwards under pressure down the length of the straight.

BLAZING BULLETT (J Todd) – Bumped with another runner at the 900m momentarily becoming unbalanced.

DAISLEY (P Denton) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

GOLDEN DICE (R Vigar) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner. Shifted inwards at the 900m bumping with another runner.

VIOTTI (J Philpot) – Commenced awkwardly. Steadied off heels whilst being ridden forward at the 900m losing ground.

WINGED HUSSAR (W Cave) – Mistrode on several occasions at the 1000m unbalancing its rider.

General: On inquiry jockey R Vigar (GOLDEN DICE) was reprimanded under AR131(a) for careless riding for allowing his mount to shift inwards at the 900m onto BLAZING BULLETT (J Todd) which was momentarily tightened onto VIOTTI (J Philpot) which had to steady off heels losing ground.

Race 2: TME Handicap 1100 metres

RHYTHMICAL (R Vigar) – Knuckled slightly on jumping. Held up for clear running at the 400m.

TRYSTOFF (D Morgan) – Slow into stride.

ALLSPICE (C Hunter) – Raced wide throughout.

JONNY AKHATON (K Gladwin) – Taken outwards by another runner on the home turn.

EVIL DREAMS (W Davis) – On returning to scale was found to have bled from both nostrils. Trainer K Petrick was advised of her obligations under AR 79(4).

FIRE ‘N’ VICE (P Denton) – Bounded out of the barriers.

LOTS OF COIN (W Cave) – Commenced awkwardly losing some ground. Shifted out abruptly on the home turn.

Race 3: Ladbrokes Handicap 1100 metres

KEYSOR (S Wiseman) – Inconvenienced at the start when tightened between runners.

IN MODERATION (C Hunter) – Slow into stride.

BETH ROSE (D Morgan) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner.

REWARDABLE (L Crow) – Knuckled on jumping and raced wide throughout.

PRINCESS LEAH (J Philpot) – Inclined to lay inwards under pressure over the concluding stages.

LISA (R Vigar) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Steadied off heels at the 300m.

Race 4: Hahn Superdry Handicap 1400 metres

BLACK HAZE (R Vigar) – Commenced awkwardly.

BAR GEM (D Morgan) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced a little erratic for a number of strides at the 900m unbalancing its rider.

OUR GREAT NORTHERN (J Todd) – As the gates opened, stood flat-footed and refused to commence with the field. Trainer P Cole was advised that prior to that gelding again starting in a race, it must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards with the emphasis being on it commencing with the field.

HE’S ALL WHITE (J Philpot) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Steadied off heels into the first turn.

General: Stewards questioned apprentice D Morgan in relation to his riding instructions after taking the lead at the 1100m and then allowing his mount to stride along at a quick pace. Apprentice Morgan advised that he was instructed to stay up close to SAVATOXL and not let it get away from him. Whilst Stewards accepted D Morgan’s explanation, he was advised to use more discretion to settle his mounts when allowing them to stride in front.

Race 5: Talice Security Services Handicap 1400 metres

AMERICAN MUSCLE was declared a late scratching at 11:30am after its trainer D Leech reported a laceration to the gelding’s mouth rendering it unfit to start.

As there was no bookmaker on course, no deductions were applicable.
