THE FUTURE KING was a late scratching at 12:15pm on Veterinary advice after becoming loose from behind the barriers and galloping for some distance.
As no bookmaker was on course, no deductions were applicable.
DAWN OF THE NORTH (W Davis) – Knuckled on jumping and veered outwards abruptly onto another runner. Inclined to lay outwards throughout the event.
STROKE OF MAGIC (J Todd) – Slow into stride. After a disappointing performance, a veterinary examination of the filly revealed it to be sore in both front shins. Whilst the trainer reported that the filly will now be spelled, he was advised that prior to that filly again starting in a trial or race, a veterinary certificate of soundness satisfactory to the Stewards must be produced.
WILLOW JAYE (S Wiseman) – Taken out wide by another runner on jumping.

RAZOR BEER (C Spry) – Bumped with runner on jumping.
CALIFORNIA LAESTAR (L Crow) – Commenced awkwardly and raced wide throughout Trainer advised that the colt had not performed as anticipated and that he will now be spelled..
PALI DE LYS (J Todd) – Bumped with runner shortly after jumping and inclined to race ungenerously in the early and middle stages of the event having to steady off heels at the 800m.
NIP IN A GLASS (D Morgan) – Bumped with runner on jumping and again shortly after.
MAHIR (W Kerford) – Bumped with runner on jumping.

ICELANDIC STAR (B Davis) – Dwelt on jumping and raced wide throughout.
GRANDE CASTAGNO (D Morgan) – Inclined to lay outwards throughout the event.
BETH ROSE (C Hunter) – Momentarily tightened onto the running rail at the 600m.
HEART OF EDEN (R Vigar) – Inclined to lay outwards rounding the home turn.
REWARDABLE (L Crow) – Commenced awkwardly.
LISA (B Huppatz) – Slow into stride bumping with runner and dipped slightly.
OUR INSTINCT (S Wiseman) – Bumped with runner on jumping.

KYD ROCK (C Hunter) – Inclined to over-race into the first turn and shifted outwards off heels.
MODERNA’S ARROW (D Morgan) – Steadied off heels into the first turn. Inclined to lay inwards under pressure down the length of the straight.
FIGHTING LEGEND (C Spry) – Slow into stride.
RAZOR STORM (R Vigar) – Fractious in the barriers.
TERRITORY TITAN (J Todd) – Commenced a little awkwardly.
General: Correct weight for this event was delayed after the trainer requested to view the patrol footage into the first turn. After viewing the footage correct weight was declared.

Race 5: Furphy Handicap 1400m
PRETTY BLONDE (J Todd) – Slow into stride.
QUANTUM DOT (D Morgan) – Raced wide throughout the event.

Race 6: Royal Flying Doctor Service Handicap 1900m
LOTION (B Davis) – Dipped on jumping.
HALOGEM (P Denton) – Slow into stride.
LINDWALL (J Todd) – Bumped with runner at the 350m having to steady off heels.
BILLET DOUX (D Morgan) – Steadied off heels at the 650m.
BIT OF A FLIRT (S Wiseman) – Shifted outwards at the 350m bumping with another runner.
General: J Todd rider of the third placegetter LINDWALL lodged a protest against the winner MAZZARO (R Vigar) alleging interference at the top of the straight. After hearing evidence from all parties and viewing the patrol films it was established that near the 350m BIT OF A FLIRT (S Wiseman) had shifted out slightly and bumped LINDWALL which caused that gelding to be steadied off the heels of MAZZARO, which in the opinion of the Stewards had not shifted ground. Stewards dismissed the objection and correct weight was declared on the judge’s placings.

LIVE FAST (P Denton) – Slow into stride.
THAT’S JUSTIFIED (W Kerford) – Bumped with runner on jumping.

Race 8: First National Framptons Handicap 1200m
RHYTHMICAL (R Vigar) – Shifted outwards shortly after jumping causing its rider some difficulties in keeping it straight. Trainer advised that a warning has been placed on the gelding and a similar occurrence may result in some action being taken.
TRYSTOFF (D Morgan) – Slow into stride.
ZAP (S Wiseman) – Sl;ow into stride.
SOCIAL LANE (B Huppatz) – Slow into stride. Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the event.
