Race 1 Alice Springs Turf Club Handicap 1100 metres

CLEESE (S Wiseman) – Bumped at the start. When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that her mount had yielded ground in the straight and she noted that the gelding returned from the race with a shifted near hind plate. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

JONNY AKHATON (C Hunter) – Commenced awkwardly.

QUE PASA (W Kerford) – Bumped at the start.

TWISTING TYPHOON (B Huppatz) – Inclined to lay inwards over the concluding stages.

LOVE CLUB (R Vigar) – Slow into stride.

FIRE ‘N’ VICE (J Todd) – Raced wide throughout.

GRANDE CASTAGNO C Spry) – Steadied passing the 600m.

PRINCESS LEAH (D Morgan) – Knuckled at the start and the bumped another runner. Raced wide throughout.

EXERT (P Denton) – Cast the near fore plate in running.

SHOAL RIVER (L Crow) – Bumped at the start. Steadied off heels passing the 900m and again at the 800m.

Race 2: Indervon Petroleum Handicap 1100 metres

REMBRANDT (L Crow) – Bumped with another runner shortly after jumping. When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that she had ridden vigorously out of the barriers to hold a forward position but after brushing with another runner for an extended period in the early stages, she was obliged to settle the gelding behind the leaders. She was further of the opinion that her mount did not appreciate the kickback and as a result did not stretch out properly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

PYXIS (W Kerford) – Commenced awkwardly.

RIVERINA ROMANCE (R Vigar) – Bumped at start and again shortly after.

WAYANKA (D Morgan) – Raced wide throughout. Rider accidentally dropped his whip at the 150m.

JAILHOUSE ROCK (C Hunter) – Bumped at the start.

1ST SKY MUSTER 2ND ROUGHLY 3RD PYXIS

 

Race 3: Ladbrokes Handicap 1100 metres

TEA TREE GULLY (D Morgan) – Raced wide throughout.

EIGHTEEN BOMBERS (P Denton) – Knuckled at the start.

FEDERAL COURT (B Davis) – Bumped at the start. Lay outwards rounding the home turn.

MANDATER (S Wiseman) – Commenced awkwardly losing ground. Post-race

the gelding was identified as being lame in the off fore and received veterinary treatment. Trainer D Leech was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.

SHAMPERS (L Crow) – Bumped at the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained a self-inflicted laceration above the near fore heel.

Race 4: B&S Home Timber 7 Hardware Handicap 1600 metres

THAT’S JUSTIFIED (W Kerford) – Fractious in the barriers.

PAGHMAN (K Gladwin) – Steadied off heels 1400m.

IN MODERATION (C Hunter) – Slow into stride. Lay inwards when tested with the whip in the straight.

FINAL’S TIME (S Wiseman) – Bumped at the start.

TERRITORY TITAN (L Crow) – Slow into stride. Over raced into the first turn having to be steadied passing the 1400m.

WINGED HUSSAR (D Morgan) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped. Raced wide in the early stages and yielded ground from the 750m.

Race 5: Lasy Bear Handicap 1600 metres

CASHING UP (K Gladwin) – Bumped at the start.

AMERICAN STAR (L Crow) – Fractious in the barriers and bumped with runner on jumping.

EXONERATE (W Davis) – Following the unplaced performance rider reported that his mount had returned with its tongue over the bit. Trainer K Rogerson advised that he would add a tongue tie for the gelding’s next start.

REDWOOD GARDENS (C Hunter) – Slow into stride.

MODERNA’S ARROW (D Morgan) – Commenced awkwardly and over-raced into the first turn having to steady outwards off heels.

Race 6: Red Centre Technology Partners Chief Ministers Cup 1600 metres

ASH GREY (W Kerford) – Momentarily tightened between runners shortly after jumping bumping on several occasions.

ELECTRIC CRIMSON (C Hunter) – Raced wide throughout the event.

HARREBS TIME (R Vigar) – Knuckled at the start. Cast the off hind plate in running.

MCKENNA (B Huppatz) – Restrained from heels losing ground leaving the 1200m.

OWL ON THE PROWL (S Wiseman) – Bumped with runner on jumping.

SAVATOXL (L Crow) – Commenced a little awkwardly and bumped with runner.

1ST SAVATOXL 2ND LOTION 3RD JAXIM

General – On inquiry apprentice L Crow (SAVATOXL) was found guilty of a charge under AR131(d) with the specifics being that after obtaining the lead she did excessively slow the speed of her mount leaving the 1300m which was the major contributing factor in MCKENNA (B Huppatz) which was following having to be restrained, losing ground near the 1200m. L Crow was fined the sum of $750.

 

Race 7: SDA Plumbing Handicap 1400 metres

NEXT GENERATION (C Hunter) – Slow into stride and raced wide from the 600m.

BLAZING BULLET (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly bumping at the start.

KEYSOR (W Kerford) – Bumped at the start.

ZAP (S Wiseman) – Raced wide from 700m.

HENRY LAD (R Vigar) – Bumped at the start.

TOFFIATO (D Morgan) – Commenced awkwardly.

ULARARA (P Denton) – Commenced awkwardly.
