EL TORANADO (D Morgan) – Mistrode at the 300m.

EINSTEIN MAGIC (V Arnott) – Following the unplaced performance a post race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

AMERICAN MUSCLE (S Wiseman) – Steadied passing the 600m.

MOORE ALPHA (J Todd) – Steadied racing into the 1000m turn.

HOWDEE (B Huppatz) – Commenced awkwardly.

Race 3: Maiden 1200m

COUNT OF ESSEX (S Wiseman) – Crowded at the start. Bumped outwards passing the 600m.

ZIGZAGZOU(W Davis) – Crowded at the start. Carried outwards and as a result checked from heels passing the 600m.

DUNKIRK (M Hart) – Commenced awkwardly and raced keenly in the middle stages.

THE TICKETMAN (B Huppatz) – Raced wide from the 600m.

YULONG AWESOME (P Shiers) – Brushed the running rail passing the 600m and became unbalanced bumping with another runner.

CAITLINS ANGEL (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly and veered inwards losing ground.

Race 4: 0-58 1000m

DUBAWI SNIPER (V Arnott) – Returned with a minor laceration to the near hind leg.

THE MAILMAN (M Hart) – Commenced awkwardly and veered inwards at the start.

THE TRUMP TRAIN (M Lawrence) – Commenced awkwardly and struck the barrier petition. Apprentice reported that after pushing her mount along in the early stages it then felt amiss in its action and took no competitive part in the event from thereon. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer P Johnston was advised that the gelding must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again.

WAWRINKA (S Wiseman) – Slow into stride.

1st DUBAWI SNIPER 2nd EDGE OF CHAOS 3rd THE MAILMAN

 

Race 5: 0-70 1000m

TORCHBEARER (C Spry) – Shifted outwards under pressure over the final 100m and contacted with another runner over the concluding stages.

CULZEAN (P Shiers) – Bumped at the 800m and raced wide throughout. Cast three plates in running.

DELTA DOR (M Lawrence) – Raced wide from the 500m. Contacted by another runner over the concluding stages.

JAILHOUSE ROCK (S Wiseman) – Commenced awkwardly.

DANCERS KIN (J Todd) – Bumped at the 800m.

Race 6: 0-64 1600m

General - Prior to the declaration of correct weight, the Stewards reviewed the patrol footage of the start. It was established that DIVISIONAL reared as the start was effected and lost several lengths and although a barrier attendant did have hold of the geldings’ bridle, the Stewards were of the opinion that this did not result in it being denied a fair start and correct weight was declared.

DIVISIONAL (M Hart) – Unsettled in the barriers prior to the start. Reared at the start and lost ground.

ALITAKA (V Arnott) – Lay inwards when tested with the whip passing the 200m.

Race 7: Adelaide River Cup 1600m

THE WILD SIDE (J Todd) underwent a veterinary at the request of its rider and was subsequently declared a late scratching at 5.05pm by order of the Stewards when found to be lame in the off hind leg. Stewards ordered all bets placed on THE WILD SIDE to be refunded and the following deductions were applicable to successful wagers placed prior to 5.05pm: FLYING TORMENTA 11c win 15c place

METALLIC CROWN 14c place

Trainer P Cole was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance for the mare prior to racing again.

ELECTRIC CRIMSON (V Arnott) – Hung outwards in running. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off fore leg. Trainer D Leech was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.

METALLIC CROWN (S Wiseman) – Lay outwards rounding the 1400m turn.
