Race 1 National Seniors Day 2019 Handicap 1200 metres

EIGHTEEN BOMBERS (W Davis) – Inclined to over-race in the early stages and lay outwards under pressure rounding the home turn.

MAUDY (J Todd) – Slow into stride.

DOON BUGGY (B Davis) – Commenced a little awkwardly and raced wide throughout the event.

MAGNUS BAY (D Morgan) – Knuckled on jumping.

1ST SHAMPERS 2ND EIGHTEEN BOMBERS 3RD REMBRANDT

 

Race 2: Novita Gifts Maiden Plate 1200 metres

Stewards interviewed trainer L Gillett in relation to the riding instructions she intended to issue bearing in mind she had multiple runners in this event.

MAHIR (T Gillett) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

MODERNA’S ARROW (W Davis) – Slow into stride bumping with another runner. Steadied off heels approaching the finish.

RAZOR STORM (R Vigar) – Tightened between runners on jumping. Inclined to lay outwards under pressure rounding the home turn.

KUMMERLINGS (L Crow) – Raced wide throughout the event.

STRYKING ASSASSIN (S Wiseman) – Fractious in the barriers. Bumped with another runner on jumping.

1ST NONE SO BRIGHT 2ND KUMMERLINGS 3RD STRYKING ASSASSIN

 

Race 3: Kathy’s Place Bed and Breakfast Handicap 1200 metres

RAZOR BEER (R Vigar) – Fractious in the barriers and bounded on jumping.

NIC NAC (D Morgan) – Commenced awkwardly. Steadied off heels at the 650m when racing forward.

BRAZILLIANT (T Gillett) – Commenced awkwardly and veered outwards abruptly bumping with another runner.

URBAN BOURBON (S Wiseman) – Shifted outwards at the 700m to obtain clear running.

SHINING MANE (J Todd) – On jumping was taken outwards by another runner and bumped with that runner on several occasions.

NORDIC ECLIPSE (W Davis) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

CELEBRAKTI (B Huppatz) – Raced wide throughout the event. Inclined to lay inwards under pressure down the length of the straight.

PAOLO (B Davis) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

REMODIFY (W Kerford) – Raced wide throughout and steadied off heels at the 700m.

Race 4: M & D Blaiklock Handicap 1100 metres

BLAZING BULLETT (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly. Inclined to lay outwards rounding the home turn.

MIGHTY MICK (W Davis) – Began to yield ground from the 700m finishing well back. When questioned, rider reported that the gelding felt one paced and that in his opinion would be suited racing over an increased distance. Trainer G Connor concurred with these comments. A subsequent veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.

QUE PASA (L Crow) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner.

REMEMBER RAZOR (R Vigar) – Dipped shortly after jumping bumping with another runner.

Race 5: Sing Australia Handicap 1100 metres

RAWTEKK (W Kerford) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and lay inwards under pressure down the length of the straight.

CHOPSTICKS (D Morgan) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Inconvenienced for clear running at the 650m having to steady off heels. Bumped with another runner at the 350m.

REWARDABLE (L Crow) – Crowded for room in-between runners on jumping. Bumped with another runner at the 350m momentarily becoming unbalanced.

SANDHILL EXPRESS (S Wiseman) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

BIANCONI’S SON (R Vigar) – Raced wide throughout the event.

Race 6: Ladbrokes Back Yourself Handicap 1400 metres

AMERICAN STAR (L Crow) – Fractious in the barriers. Knuckled on jumping.

BABE IN BOOTS (W Kerford) – Bumped with another runner nearing the finish.

RHYTHM OF CUBA (B Huppatz) – Bounded on jumping. Shifted outwards nearing the finish bumping with another runner.

ICE HUNT (D Morgan) – Slow into stride and raced wide throughout the event.

FINALS TIME (B Davis) – Bumped with another runner nearing the finish and became momentarily unbalanced.
