Race 1 Territory Lettuce Maiden Plate 1200 metres

ASK THE BOYS (C Eaton) – Inconvenienced for room between runners on jumping. Steadied off heels at the 650m whilst laying outwards.

HARRY HELLRAISER (R Vigar) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner.

KING CRAB (C Hunter) – Inclined to lay inwards under pressure down the length of the straight.

REGAL CAPITAL (W Kerford) – Bounded on jumping.

D’LIVA (D Morgan) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner.

TOTALLY JUSTIFIED (S Tsaikos) – Slow into stride and once leaving the barriers shifted inwards abruptly. Steadied off heels at the 550m whilst laying outwards rounding the turn.

Race 2: Hume Trade Contracting Handicap 1200 metres

WAYANKA (D Morgan) – Bumped with another runner at the 1100m.

JACKANORY (C Eaton) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

GAUGUIN (W Kerford) – Inclined to lay inwards under pressure down the length of the straight.

URBAN BOURBON (R Vigar) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and again at the 1100m.

Race 3: C.B Painting Contractors Handicap 1100 metres

Stewards interviewed trainer S Westover in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue his riders bearing in mind he had multiple runners in this event.

THE HUMMEL (W Kerford) – Commenced to race wide from the 650m. After a disappointing performance today and at its previous start, trainer advised that the gelding will now be retired from racing.

TOFFIATO (D Morgan) – Knuckled on jumping dislodging its rider. After knuckling badly at the start, a post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.

EQUIAMICO (D Tootell) – Slow into stride.

PREEMTIVE (P Marks) – Commenced awkwardly getting its head up.

General: After being dislodged from his mount at the start, apprentice D Morgan was examined by medical officers and was subsequently cleared to fulfil his remaining riding obligations for the day.

Race 4: TRM Recovery Handicap 1400 metres

FINAL’S TIME (W Kerford) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide throughout.

DREAM PASSENGER (L Crow) – Brushed with the running rail at the 600m.

SANDHILL EXPRESS (C Eaton) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

LEDAYL KISS (D Tootell) – Slow into stride.

Race 5: Coles Red Kite Handicap 1600 metres

L Crow replaced R Vigar as the rider of OLIVARES after that rider was found to be over-weight.

VON MYSTIC declared a late scratching at the barriers at 4:23 by order of the Stewards after refusing to load. Trainer advised that prior to that gelding again starting in a race, it must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards with the emphases being on loading in a timely manner,

MCKENNA (C Eaton) – Steadied off heels into the first turn whilst racing forward.

REGAL EAGLE (M Henderson) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

BUCK’S ROW (P Marks) – Steadied off heels into the first turn when racing keenly.

RAKITIKI (C Hunter) – After a disappointing performance, trainer advised that the gelding will now be retired from racing.

OLIVARES (L Crow) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide throughout.
