General – At the request of SKY channel the following race times were amended:

Race 1: 0-64 1000m

MOLICIOUS (P Shiers) – Slow into stride.

TWILIGHT MANEUEVER (S Wiseman) – Impeded when making ground near the 250m.

PUZZLED PRINCESS (V Arnott) – Lay inwards when tested with the whip in the straight.

1st PATRIOT DAY, 2nd TWILIGHT MANEUVER, 3rd MOLICIOUS

 

Race 2: Class 2 1200m

DON’T WAIT (P Shiers) – Lay outwards rounding the home turn and when ridden along in the straight.

LOVOLOGY (C Hunter) - Commenced awkwardly.

1st BIG JUAN, 2nd DONT WAIT, 3rd EXTRACTION

 

Race 3: 3YO 1100m

KALMAR (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly getting its head in the air. After noting that the gelding returned to the placegetters stalls with a race plate entangled in its tail, Stewards established that it had occurred when the gelding had cast the near fore plate at the start.

SECLUSION (P Shiers) – Resented the kickback through the middle stages.

TACITUS (K Gladwin) – Slow into stride.

MISSARI (V Arnott) – Difficult to load.

WILLOW JAYE (F Bergstrand) – Commenced awkwardly.

1st KALMAR, 2nd SPEEDYCOM, 3rd SECLUSION

 

Race 4: WFA 1100m

BAKSLAP (V Arnott) – Cast the off hind plate in running.

EASTWOOD (P Shiers) – Shied away from the running rail at the 700m and impeded another runner. Cast the off fore and both hind plates in running.

JAVA (K Gladwin) – Raced wide throughout.

SO STOIC (S Wiseman) – Crowded and steadied near the 700m.

General – When questioned jockey P Shiers (EASTWOOD) advised that his mount shied away from the running rail for no apparent reason near the 700m and veered out resulting in SO STOIC (S Wiseman) being crowded for room and steadied.

1st THE CAPTAIN, 2nd EASTWOOD, 3rd SO STOIC

 

Race 5: 0-58 1100m

LOTS OF COIN (V Arnott) – Crowded at the start and again shortly after.

KNIGHT’S HELMET (P Denton) – Carried inwards and crowded shortly after the start. The veterinarian reported the gelding required treatment for a laceration to the near fore leg. Trainer K Petricks’ representative was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required for the gelding prior to racing again.

SNIPPY SKIPPY (S Wiseman) – Raced wide throughout. Following the unplaced performance a post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have returned with an elevated heart rate.

AMIGO MIO (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly.

1st LOTS OF COIN, 2nd TREGORIK, 3rd KNIGHTS HELMET

 

Race 6: 0-64 1600m

Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as his stable had multiple runners in this event.

PATRIA (P Shiers) – Bumped at the start.

MAKIN THE GRADE (K Gladwin) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.

TAIPEI DANCER (V Arnott) – Veered outwards at the start. Raced wide throughout.

CLAIRVUE DIAMOND (W Kerford) – Following the unplaced performance a veterinary examination detected the gelding to be making an abnormal respiratory noise post race. Trainer G Clarke advised that the gelding would undergo an endoscopic examination and he would advise accordingly of the results.

LOOKATIM GO (C Hunter) – Raced wide throughout.
