Race 1 Imparja Television Handicap 1200 metres

BAGGINS (R Vigar) – Commenced to shift inwards heading into the first turn.

NIC NAC (T Treichel) – Lost ground approaching the 600m after its rider had to take hold and check his mount when tightened along the rails.

MY TRADITION (B Huppatz) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner. Momentarily inconvenienced between runners approaching the 600m.

THE STAR LEGAND (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly losing some ground.

TIGAR TRAP (C Eaton) – Steadied off heels into the first turn

WINGARD (L Crow) – Commenced awkwardly.

DELIGHTFUL SPIRIT (D Morgan) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Taken inwards by another runner at the 600m.

General: On inquiry jockey R Vigar was found guilty of a charge under AR131 for careless riding. The specifics of the charge being that he allowed his mount to shift inwards approaching the 600m when insufficiently clear, resulting in DELIGHTFUL SPIRIT (D Morgan) on his inside being taken inwards onto NIC NAC (T Triechel), resulting in that rider having to take hold and check his mount losing ground further resulting in TIGAR TRAP (C Eaton) having to steady off NIC NAC’s heels. R Vigar had his licence to ride in races suspended commencing midnight the 18th January 2020 and to expire midnight 25th January 2020. (I NT meeting). R Vigar was notified of his right of appeal.

Race 2: Ladbrokes Handicap 1100 metres

CULZEAN (R Vigar) – Knuckled and bumped with another runner on jumping. Ridden hard early to secure the lead.

TWILIGHT MANEUVER (B Huppatz) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

RAWTEKK (J Todd) – Shifted outwards off heels at the 150m.

DUVET (W Kerford) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide throughout. Shifted outwards for clear running at the 150m.

NORDIC ECLIPSE (D Morgan) – Bounded on jumping.

Race 3: Mecure Alice Springs Resort Maiden Plate 1000 metres

FINALISE declared a late scratching at 3:43pm on the trainer in care’s (S Arnold) request after the mare had cast two plates in the day stalls and the on-course farrier was unable to re-shoe the mare due to it being unruly. As no book-maker was on-course there were no betting deductions applicable.

SNOW CREEK (L Crow) – Raced wide throughout. Inclined to lay inwards under pressure over the concluding stages.

SUPREME DEAL (R Vigar) – Commenced awkwardly.

WHENWILLYOUARRIVE (D Morgan) – Raced wide throughout.

Race 4: Peter Kittle Motor Company Handicap 1000 metres

SNIP ‘N’ STARE (W Kerford) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

BLUE BALOONS (C Eaton) – Slow into stride. Raced a little erratic into the first turn causing its rider to steady off heels.

SORRY I AM RAZOR (J Todd) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

INNOCENT TONY (L Crow) – Raced wide throughout.

Race 5: Helloworld Travel Handicap 1000 metres

LOCK THE DOORS (L Crow) – Commenced a little slow into stride.

JAXIM (J Todd) – Commenced a little awkward. Rider dislodged at the 550m after his mount fell. The veterinarian advised that the gelding fell as a result of suffering a cardiac event and was subsequently humanely euthanized.
