GOOD TO BE GREAT (T Treichel) – When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that his mount travelled comfortably in running but was under pressure on straightening and failed to finish the race off as anticipated. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

EL TORANADO (C Spry) – Knuckled at the start and then bumped.
JAVA (K Gladwin) – The veterinarian reported the gelding returned with minor lacerations around a nostril.
EASTWOOD (V Arnott) – Bumped at the start. Raced wide throughout.
1ST EASTWOOD 2ND HATTAN MAN 3RD DIVINE RED

DANCERS KIN (J Todd) – When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that his mount dwelt at the start and lost ground and despite his urgings the gelding was reluctant to stretch out and failed to race competitively. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in both front legs. Trainer D Bates was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.

SHUDAPUTARINGONIT (K Gladwin) – Commenced awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
SNIPPY SKIPPY (B Huppatz) – Commenced awkwardly. Returned with a laceration to the off fore leg.

BIG JUAN (B Huppatz) – Yielded ground in the middle stages. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
