General: Stewards questioned T Treichel (JACKANORY) in regards to his riding instructions on that gelding after getting well back in the race. T Triechel advised that he wanted to get back a little in the race to hopefully finish off strongly but the gelding resented the kickback and did not finish off as anticipated. Stewards were of the view that he allowed his mount to get too far back without showing any urgency to keep in touch with the rest of the field. Whilst Stewards were mindful that he did ride his mount out hands and heels from the top of the straight, he could have tested his mount with a little more urgency when straightening up. T Treichel agreed with the Stewards view that he had erred in the circumstances by allowing his mount to get too far back in the early stages which made it difficult to make up the ground lost, and the lack of urgency shown at the top of the straight. Whilst Stewards took no further action, he was advised that he must not ride in a manner which leaves room for question.
