Race 1: BM54 1300m

The start time of this event was delayed several minutes due to a runner having to have a plate refitted behind the barriers.

THE AUDITOR (K Gladwin) – Raced wide throughout.

SO INSPIRING (J Todd) – Bounded at the start.

 

Race 2: Maiden 1300m

HAYDEN WILL DO (B Huppatz) – Bumped at the start.

CALL ME LEGEND (V Arnott) - Bumped at the start. Raced wide throughout.

HEADBELLS (W Davis) – Commenced to lay outwards from the 700m and then hung out considerably through the middle stages with the rider having difficulty negotiating the home turn. A post race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have an elevated heart rate. Trainer S Clarke was advised that the filly must compete satisfactorily in a barrier trial prior to racing again.

 

Race 3: 0-58 1100m

CURTAIN CALL (J Todd) was declared a late withdrawal at 2.40pm by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice when the gelding was found to be lame in the near fore. Trainer P Johnston was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.

PRINCE PLANET (V Arnott) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.

IRON LOTUS (B Huppatz) – Bumped at the start.

Race 4: BMNT 1600m

LOTION (P Shiers) – Raced wide from the 700m.

KAPTAN APOLLO (J Todd) – Cast the off hind plate in running.
