Race 1: Wildfire Blooms Handicap 1200m

BABE IN BOOTS – (W Kerford) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Inclined to lay inwards under pressure over the final 150m.

HUSSON Park – (B Huppatz) – Commenced awkwardly.

VALENCIANO – (J Todd) – Slow into stride.

KUMMERLINGS – (L Crow) – Commenced a little awkwardly.

MADAM ST CLAIR – (R Vigar) – Began to yield ground from the 700m. finishing well back. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed the mare to have an elevated heart rate and dehydrated. Trainer S Westover was advised that prior to the mare again starting in a race, he must produce a veterinary certificate of soundness satisfactory to the Stewards.

MANHATTAN SPIRIT – (T Treichel) – Slow into stride.

 

Race 2: Yeperenye Shopping Centre WFA 1200m

GOLDEN DICE – (T Treichel) – Slow into stride. Bumped with another runner at the 900m on several occasions.

MAUDY – (P Denton) – Commenced a little awkwardly. Inconvenienced for clear running at the 900m having to shift outwards off heels and bumping with another runner on several occasions.

 

Race 3: Ladbrokes Odds Boost Handicap 1000m

CULZEAN – (R Vigar) – Dwelt on jumping bumping with another runner.

REGAL CAPITAL – (P Denton) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide throughout.

SHINING MANE - (S Tsaikos) – Brushed with the running rail at the 600m.

KING KAZOU – (J Todd) – Slow into stride.

 

Race 4: Mercure Alice Springs Resort Handicap 1900m

ASH GREY – (R Vigar) – Fractious in the barriers.

BLACK RANGE – (B Huppatz) – Inclined to over-race into the first turn getting its head up when restrained.

FLYING TORMENTA – (T Treichel) – Fractious in the barriers and bumped with another runner on jumping.

MAZZARO –(S Tsaikos) – Fractious in the barriers.

HILLBILLY RICH – D Morgan) – Raced wide in the early stages and then again down the length of the straight.

MOMENTUM AMETHYST – (P Denton) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and inclined to lay inwards under pressure over the concluding stages.

OLIVARES – (J Todd) – Slow into stride.

OUR BARTY – (W Davis) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. After a disappointing performance, a subsequent veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.

 

Race 5: Helloworld Travel Alice Springs Handicap 1400m

PERESSINI – (P Denton) – Slow into stride.

ALLSPICE – (T Treichel) – Slow into stride.

BLAZING BULLET – (J Todd) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

RANSOM MONEY – (S Tsaikos) – Inclined to lay outwards under pressure over the final 150m.

MCINTYRE – (C Hunter) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

 

Race 6: Seppelt Wines Maiden 1400m

CRAZY SUSPECT – (R Vigar) – Commenced awkwardly and raced wide in the early and middle stages of the event.

KING CRAB – (J Todd) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Steadied off heels into the first turn. After a disappointing performance, a subsequent veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.

SHOWS PROMISE – (C Hunter) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner and raced wide throughout.

TRUCKLOAD OF HOFFA – (B Huppatz) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

GUESS SO – (D Morgan) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

 

Race 7: Imparja Television NT Guineas 1600m

THE FUTURE KING declared a late scratching by order of the Stewards at 4:28pm for refusing to load. Trainer L Gillett was advised that prior to that gelding again starting in a race, it must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards with the emphasis being on loading in a timely manner.

As there was no on-course book-maker, no deductions were applicable.

D’LIVA – (S Tsaikos) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and raced wide throughout.

KALMAR – (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner and was inclined to lay outwards for most of the event. Trainer G Clarke was advised that a warning had been placed on the gelding and a similar occurrence may result in some action being taken. Mr Clarke subsequently advised that the gelding was now going to be spelled.

LUNCH SESSION – (T Treichel) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

MILITARY ROAD – (K Gladwin) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Began to yield ground from the 800m losing substantial ground and finishing well back. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities but the veterinarian advised that she was of the opinion that as the gelding had recovered well following the race it may have suffered a epiglottis entrapment mid race which can reduce the oxygen intake and may explain the performance. Jockey K Gladwin advised that the gelding was travelling well until the 800m and after commencing to lose ground he felt something was amiss and stopped riding his mount along. Trainer G Clarke was advised that in the circumstances the gelding must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again.

TOTALLY JUSTIFIED – (W Davis) – Slow into stride.
