Race 3: BM54 1200m

KARMONAARON (J Todd) – Raced wide in running. Following the unplaced performance a post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have an elevated heart rate and was slow to recover.

IRON CURTAIN (B Davis) – Prior to the event trainer C Pollard advised that the gelding had cast the near hind plate and as it could not be refitted in a timely manner he was granted permission to allow the gelding to compete without this plate. This information was disseminated.

SNIPPY SKIPPY (B Huppatz) – Yielded ground from the 600m. When questioned rider advised that his mount was fractious in the barriers prior to the start and felt awkward in its action mid race and he therefore elected not ride the mare along.
